Wilder's best win is over Stiverne whose claim to fame is beating a man with breasts who ironically, shares a name with the outer part of a nipple.
Wilder is not much more proven than AJ. It's clear Wilder has a lot of power and he did show some decent boxing ability in his last fight. Prior to that, you could see him swing hooks from his ankles.

AJ has shown much better skills on his way up, and stating Wilder's win over Stiverne as a big factor in your decision process would seem odd to me.

I'd favour AJ, but be wary of him taking heavy shots from Wilder.

Yup; Wilder is a great natural athlete but off the top of my head; feet too wide, movement not efficient, right hand flaps out/drops when jabbing, punches too wide at times.

I'll need to watch him again to go in detail but that's the gist of it.

Technically he's improved since his windmilling of Audley Harrison but he still leaves a lot to desire in terms of pure boxing technique.

Joshua seems to be developing and has a solid foundation and pedigree.

Wilder is also a Olympic medallist and no slouch.

I think we will have a more rounded view when Joshua fights an Arreola or Stiverne type opponent himself. Thus so far he's not had any taxing bouts at all if we're honest.

But to answer the question, I'd lean slightly towards Joshua if they boxed tomorrow. But I wouldn't say it with any conviction.

Who knows if Joshua's stamina deserts him in the later part of a fight? or if he can take it as well as he dishes it out ?

Those are the questions people wonder.

Wilder's win over Stiverne gives him the edge over Joshua, although Joshua's blowout of the normally durable Johnson was hugely impressive.

It's a fight where we will see what each one is made of, as both men will get hit hard at some point.

We've not seen Joshua take a serious shot on the jaw, despite the fact that his defence is clearly not impregnable, we've not seen him have to face any real adversity in the ring thus far, or any stamina checks, yet many of you have him pegged as WBC champion tomorrow.

Whilst I agree about Joshua not being chin checked yet. Price did have a reputation for being floored a fair few times as an amateur.

To settle this debate apart from Wilder and Joshua fighting is to put Joshua in with Stiverne.

AJ hasen't been v anyone decent yet, Wilder has been v one decent guy. just for that reason he has more of a chance(and if anyone says Kevin Johnson!!!!! LOL. would be a good fight considering both have been floored in amateurs.

Paul Smith summed Joshua up quite well when he said you get plenty of boxers who are good lads trying to be bad, AJ is a bad lad trying to be good. This doesn't prove anything but his spite makes me confident that he wont do a David Price on us when he's up against it. I think he'll enjoy it, he wants to be tested. I've said it before though, my only worry is his stamina. 12 rounds is a long time to carry all that muscle.

I'd say hes the opposite. The way he goes on like hes a 'G'. Hes from Watford, not Watts.
