This isn't the first time a fighter has won the championship without being totally refined and needing some sharpening in order to say they have peaked in their learning.MachoTime wrote:Even though Wilder stated it himself. The work in progress part could be Wilder being humble. I'm kind of on the fence about the work in progress part. Wilder already holds the WBC crown. Wilder had to go thru Stiverne to get it. But you already know how it is Wilder beats Stiverne and then Stiverne become crap. It never changes.
We saw him make many mistakes even in his other fights but we just didn't have long enough fights to observe him in due to his KO's of all those other fighters but there is no way that anyone can tell me that someone who has came into the sport at this late isn't still working on many facets of their game.
Don't let the fact that he beat a top HW and that he is a champ mean that he isn't still in need of many other skills in his repertoire.
