This isn't the first time a fighter has won the championship without being totally refined and needing some sharpening in order to say they have peaked in their learning.

We saw him make many mistakes even in his other fights but we just didn't have long enough fights to observe him in due to his KO's of all those other fighters but there is no way that anyone can tell me that someone who has came into the sport at this late isn't still working on many facets of their game.

Don't let the fact that he beat a top HW and that he is a champ mean that he isn't still in need of many other skills in his repertoire.

Did Vargas ever peak in his learning? I don't think so, he earned it fast and then lost it as soon as it was discovered that his defense against straight rights and left hooks was lacking sorely. Sure Vargas fought better comp without a doubt but that's part of my point; they shouldn't have rushed him up the mountain so quickly without adding more refinement to his game, look what happened to him as a result.

Now people want Wilder to do the same thing as Vargas, Fernando took on too many guys with much more experience and it caused his career to be ended quickly because of it, though he never started late in boxing like Deontay is I think a comparison as far as experience is comparable once they both obtained their titles.

We need an undisputed champion, and in a bad way. Hell, the sport needs but one title per division. That would truly separate the trash from the real deals. Wilder is fun and interesting, and the division needs more of that, but he's not exactly worthy of champion status. Not in my mind anyways. Politics, etc. blinds alot of people to the fact that despite having a belt, it doesn't mean you are the best, it just means you are NOW worthy of calling yourself a top 10, top 5 heavyweight in the world in the 21st century. It's the man with the most titles, the longest win streak, etc. who is worthy to be called "the man".

Like I said before, we have yet to see whether he's Foreman or he's Grant. After that fight with Molina, I'm leaning toward Grant. Still, that being said the top five in the world are Klitschko, Fury, Wilder, Povetkin and (take your pick of the rest of the field). Until Wilder can defeat a man who actually is near his size, actually can fight and box and is tough, etc. there will always be doubt on his overall worth and ability.

Lucas Browne has been aggressively calling him out on instagram. I'd like to see that fight. No reason why it couldn't.

Now I didnt say I like that fight but the names ur mentioned are the ones most likely to happen. I would switch Arreola more likely than Browne though

The dude is a heavy....hes in tip top shape and can punch. Plus hes wild and crazy aggressive. Whats not to like other than hes American.

Funny how people were crying out how boring the heavyweight division was because there was only Wlad and nobody else. Along comes Wilder, knocks out everyone in his path, and they re-direct their hate at him

I'm pretty sure crapped on a "world champ before as well.

My point is that Wilder imo deserves at least as much respect as Broner on this forum. Broner is a decent boxer, but about the farthest thing there is from being a role model. There was a thread titled: "Broner is Garbage" and it was changed to "Broner". Why was that? One of the mods a big Broner fan? I would think the Wilder thread could have been changed as well, but whatever, I'm over it. It would be nice to automatically delete any multiple threads that come up on the same exact subject as well, but again, just my opinion.

It does not take much to be more entertaining than Wlad's.
Wlad is a very effective fighter but very boring.

It's not that people don't like the way he fights... they just don't like him. Personally, I think he is great for the division. Let people keep hating. Hopefully, he's a thorn in their sides for years to come.
