Yes, he did confront Loefler, but he is wrong saying that Loefler was "lying". Golovkin is in fact ready to fight him if Roc Nation offers good money. Will Ward himself fight GGG for $1 mil ? No !!!

Andre Ward showed what a prima donna diva he is by demanding the catch-weight against a guy who has been fighting at super-middleweight.

It wasn't enough that Smith lost his past two fights, and was easily KOed by Groves. It wasn't enough that the fight is in Ward's home country and home town, and no doubt he'll have either his personal referee Jack Reiss or another California Boxing Commission referee to permit him to foul. But diva Ward also demanded the smaller Smith fight him at a catch weight of 172!

If Ward wanted to test how he'd feel at a higher weight, he should have warmed up against a real light heavyweight at 175, someone not too dangerous (on Smith's level). Demanding a super middleweight go up four pounds to fight him is pathetic.

A lot of idiots over there betting on Smith. Free money. Go take some it.

He's at least -7000 everywhere in the States. -10000 in spots.

Ward looks huge compared to Smith. Beside serious skill advantage, he also has size advantage.

Smith weighed in at 176.4 pounds. That is just ridiculous. If he thinks that 5 pounds of water will help him beat Ward, he is soooo wrong. On the contrary, it will make him slower and make Ward's speed advantage even more obvious.

Like it matters what Smith weighs. He
could be 200 and would still get smoked.

You would actually bet on -2500? I know you've got to exploit every edge but man...even with five figures on it doesn't seem worth the sweat.

Be serious: Ward doesn't really want any part of GGG or Kovalev. He just talks knowing perfectly well that there is no money on the table for those fights to happen.

Andre will either go back down to 168 or fight C/B level light heavies for years.
Theres a fuckin vid on youtube of GGG saying hes not ready. Fuckin nuts

Thanks. So, Smith lost $45,000 out of his $225,000 purse.

That's about as succinct as I could put it.

As to the subject of the thread, I'd be happy if he fought DeGale, Jack or Groves. Ramirez is also coming up. And there is the possibility of an eventual showdown with Golovkin or even Kovalev if he eventually moves up. I'm not a big fan of the Froch rematch now, seems kind of pointless to me. But there is no shortage of opposition out there for him, that's for sure.

I'll have to wait for what I see tonight, but if he's the same guy he was a year and a half ago, I think he beats them all, too.
