Too clumsy? Yeah right he would walk right through Ward. Artur would KO Ward. First of all, Ward doesn't fight anybody. So when he gets around to finally fighting somebody get back to me. I realize that Ward is the great American hope over 160 pounds but you have to be more measured in your praise. It is borderline pathetic. I know America is desperate to find stars over 154 pounds and up and Wilder is not gonna cut it. So I forgive your unbridled enthusiasm. The only thing clumsy are your foolish comments.
Too true,
Amused by them clinging to Mayweather as their sole source of pride. A guy who gladly gives zero entertainment in his fights and only has 1 to 2 tops fights left. Desperate yanks, like a girl whose boyfriend beats her but she still loves him because he's ''her's'.

Just saw the fight. Man, forget about Kovalev. Ward might not beat James DeGale on that performance. Breathing hard against Paul 'P4P Top 4 In His Own Family' Smith...lol.

Right, and Hopkins schooled him as some category of American fans predicted. Now Ward is your hope.

ward and a literally 50 yr old hopkins are 2 different things. Ward is p4p 1 in my book and he beats him. Im not betting the house on it cuz Kovalev is an animal too.

Ward certainly didn't perform like p4p #1, #2 or even #10 yesterday.

Only an idiot thought Hopkins could beat Kovalev throwing 9 punches a round. There was no way that was gonna happen. Ward is nothing like a 50 yr old Hop. Ward actually throws punches and has speed of hand and foot. Gulf of difference. Hopkins has zero workrate and no speed.

Thats a fact.
As for your opinion every one is entitled to one but....
GGG resume consists of guys like Monroe, Geal, murray, rubio, adame, rosado and countless other C and D level fighters.
Sorry but that is not the resume of a p4p king on the contrary its quite laughable considering the hype surrounding him.
No American, Mexican or Puerto Rican in their right mind will get with him at 154 or 160 and that would include Mayweather, Cotto or Alvarez. What do you want him to do? Show up at their door and fight them on their front porch?

Slow your roll champ you sound like an insecure 12 yr old.
America is where its at where not desperate for nothing. Cant say the same for some of you euro cats that bust nuts over clumsy robotic like boxer who will never be big enough stars where it counts.
The p4p best boxer in world is an American the highest paid athlete is an American.
Let that sink in champ.
160 pounds and over is all Euro's baby. Now you let that sink in for you. America has a WBC champ at heavy and once he fights Potvetkin you know that belt is as good as gone. Euro's dominate over 160 pounds. I stick to my comment.

It isn't a
fact. ANY P4P list is subjective so straight away your argument is flawed.
Hahaha
Cmon now everyone knows who the best boxer in the world is.
If you wanna be ignorant than whatever thats your issue.
He should fight brook. But instead he wants a remaych with DLH. So typical Mayweather. Maybe he will seek out a rematch with Ortiz. Mayweather should fight Brook then you can run your mouth. Once again a Euro might be the best at welter. Mayweather will never fight him.

The one with the issues is clearly YOU and a few others. You want to put American fighters at the top and be dismissive of all the foreign fighters. Ward has done NOTHING in the last 3 years or tonight that warrants any comment that he would dominate Beterbiev or Kovalev. That is a joke!

There were a lot of people picking Hopkins let us get that straight. Just like you are picking Ward. Look at Ward's recent opponents. He is not fighting Beterbiev or Kovalev.

Lancenix,
You really are a moron. Ward was in a contractual lawsuit. That's why he hasn't fought much. That's over now. And you're gonna trump up BETERBIEV who has like 5 god damn fights against truck drivers but tell us Ward who has dominated the best in the world in his division doesn't belong in a conversation with him?? Do you know how dumb you sound? If Ward and Beterbiev fought tmrw Ward would be a substantial betting favorite. Get a clue.

Truckdrivers? Look again his beginning to his professional career is as aggressive a route in recent memory. Name a more aggressive one. You are just a name caller diddy. I don't care why he was not fighting but he wasn't it is black and white for me. And while Ward was out two guys at 175 came in and have made their mark. If it is going to be so easy he should be fighting them. Instead he is fighting Paul Smith. BAAWWWWWWWW what a joke. And you wanna come on here after he beat Smith and act like he would beat Artur or Krusher the same way? You are the moron here buddy. I am wondering if you know any boxing at all. You are so far off from the truth that you think the truth is dumb. You are in true denial.

Ward didn't look vintage last night, but he didn't have to, he would have beaten Smith in his sleep.
Its important that Ward stays active now, even if he fights another mismatch next.
He needs a high calibre opponent late 2015 or early 2016.

Campillo and Cloud are SHOT OUT bums. Sure he's fought better than average guys for early in his career but that's not the point. Ward has beaten top guys in their primes. Get back to when Beterbiev beats a live body in his prime before you tell me how he's gonna own a guy who has proven he can do it at the top level.

I would pick Beterbiev over Ward too. True, he hasn't got the depth of resume that Kovalev has, but sometimes you gots to make predictions based on what you have. I have a feeling the style of these guys is just way too much for Ward to handle on the back foot all night with no power, a less than stellar chin and no real workrate to speak of.
Ward should stick to DeGale. That's an interesting one because James is capable of hurting him and has some speed. DeGale's biggest problem in that one is workrate. He needs to throw a lot of punches and not fall asleep like he did in spurts vs Dirrell.

At 160, 175 or cruiser, Andre Ward beats them all. Just a sensational fighter, even if he was in there last night with a EuroWeenie.
Imagine the one dimensional Ruskies or Brits doing any damage against this guy. He bludgeoned the huge Smith with ease and would have just as easy a time with any other challenger.
And now some of you are talking up DeGale, the same rummy who got a gift against Dirrell. Ward wins 15 out of 12 rounds against this near novice.
Mayweather's still the best until he's toppled, but even a rusty Ward is right behind him.
