At 42 and after 3 years out of it the 26-1 Kovacs is about the level of opponent one would have expected.

At least Danny is giving himself more than the 6 weeks he gave Briggs to prepare himself for this "dangerous'' opponent after his layoff/retirement.

gee, lets all hang crap on Greeny for not calling out Kovalev for his first fight back. So Kovacs is no kovalev !!
If you dont like it, dont watch and dont buy. Good luck to him if this is what he wants. and good luck to Choc if he is prepared to face Green again.

Goose, what's hypocritical about the statements you have highlighted in red. Firstly they were made some time ago and at that point Green had moved forward and secondly, he has changed his mind about giving Choc a rematch (something I think Danny and Choc have agreed on). As far as being hypocritical goes I don't see it. Their paths have gone in different directions since those statements, and due to results and other issues may well align themselves again.
At the time Green felt Mundine was irrelevant. At the time he probably was, as Green looked at fighting at a much higher weight - things change.
Good read but...

My apologies some posts make no sense, but Da Goose's post had to go. I was hoping it would be edited by this morning.

He has made his career off the back of Mundine it's getting embarrassing. Like calling him irrelevant after RJJ and then this.

http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=1013040

"Manny Siaca dropped Anthony Mundine and took his title away and pretty much embarrassed the bloke," Green told reporters.

"Our approach to Anthony Mundine is to try and smoke that rabbit out of his hole."
Then a little later
http://www.foxsports.com.au/more-sports ... 5919285057

“I don’t care about the fact that he beat Mundine,” Green said.

“It’s not a motivating factor for me and never has been. I just want to win and win in decisive fashion.”
Expect this post to be deleted too.

Say so, and we will all move on :DD

He can't he criticizes another fighter who plays the media game but excuses it from his hero. I guess instead of ignoring me he feel duty bound to respond.

liar.

I acknowledge it is what it is.

u post your green hate on several sites all day every day.

why do u lot feel duty bound to spew constant anti stuff on all oz boxers?

if u people despise oz boxers so much and think they r a joke or bums or overrated, then why come on an oz boxing forum?

u people never once offer an objective opinion, a positive comment nor any praise for the many fantastic achievements of oz boxers. just hate, hate, hate.

u 3/4 guys may as well just email each other your sad sack comments.
