yeah was the Midlands title fight was a cracker. I was going walsall but pearce pulled out so not bothering its a very weak card. Not worth the money imo.

Yeah board hav made him mandatory. Shocking how unsworth got the shot after the loss to pearce and that pearce beat hunt but the winner of them pair got 60 or 90 days to defend or b stripped.

Last Friday was Carl Greaves show Barnsley this week it's Dennis Hobsons show Sheffield then 16/7 dinner with Carl Froch.18/7 Sheffield again for Etches then 25/7 Sportsman's dinner with Anthony Joshua.

I don't get to as many as I'd like, for money reasons as much as anything. Last couple of years I've done 3 shows (Hall v Ward/Froch v Groves II/Joshua v Gavern) and a couple of my mate's white collar fights if they count. Planning to go to the Summer show at the Stadium of Light with Martin Ward headlining (although I've just noticed Leigh Wood is no longer the opponent which is annoying as that looked a good fight) but it all depends on whether I'm due in work or not unfortunately.

Yeah it seemed to be pretty much nailed on the two winners that night would meet. Can see Undsworth beating Hunt to be honest Pearce v Unsworth 2 for the midlands area....count me in.

Yeah i know pearce well he was fuming. I agree unsworth throws a sharp left hook to the body i think thats the shot. Ill b ringside for the rematch for sure

Been to Starlight Express, Phantom of the Opera and Cats all in the last 12 months - you can't beat a bit of Lloyd-Webber....

None any more - it's an expensive night out, and frankly the view of the action is often shite even at ringside.

I used to go to about 5 or 6 a year but haven't been to one for 2 years now. Will try to get back into going over the coming months. The problem for me these days is getting mates to come along because of the cost. To go and watch a high quality show with at least one world title fight on the bill is becoming prohibitively expensive if you want decent seats. In addition unless it is in London or Liverpool there are hotel costs to factor in. Makes it hard to persuade people to go.

Probably 3 times a year and to the big shows because I actually enjoy the event and the atmosphere, in stark contrast to how most other posters feel on here. The only big live show I didn't enjoy was Chisora-Fury 2, for a multitude of reasons.

I do go to small shows, but to watch Muay Thai which is better enjoyed in a smaller environment I think plus I actually know some of the fighters personally or have some sort of connection/affiliation.

Show was an absolute disgrace.

I do about 20 a year, amateur, unlicensed, and pro. Would knock the unlicensed on the head if I didn't know the boxers.

I find the view in most arenas great if you know the arena well enough or if the capacity is less than 10k (I find any seat good)

Only one over the last few years.

Shitty boxing scene in Vancouver ...I imagine that even area title level fighters in the UK would be at least a class above nearly all the pros who have recently boxed here.

Agree, arenas the size like the Echo / Nottingham have pretty decent views all over.

Depends on the venue to be fair. Hove Town Hall was a lovely little venue where you could get a close overhead view or sit ringside. The problem is when a venue's seating is arranged below the level of the ring and doesn't taper upward.

is that Steve saville. Strong as bull. I beat him on an unlicensed show in Nottingham. Very close and coulda gone the other way. But yeh. He was a bull of a man

Yeah that's the one Johnny, had a decent following locally. 'a bull' is definitely the way to describe him think he only knew one direction and that was forward.

Yeah, Saville loved to just set his feet, square up and throw hooks. Id imagine he hits quite hard but a bit predictable and not difficult to find with your own shots Jonny?
