Ward doesn't have power even at his own weight and doesn't have a good chin, so the question is if his advantage in boxing skills over top LHWs is enough to compensate lack of power and chin like it was enough at SMW.
In case of Golovkin, I am certain that he shouldn't even think about fighting LHWs, but his power and skills are sufficient to beat all SMWs except Ward (if he ever fights at 168 again). Ward vs Golovkin is a 60%-40% fight to me if fought in Oakland and 40%-60% if fought elsewhere.

Ward was hurt at 160 by boone and hasnt been hurt in any way shape or form since moving up to 168. Thats like saying Stevenson sucks cuz he was kod by the same guy oh and Kovalev sucks cuz he has a draw. Ward hit hard enough to be back Froch up all damn night. Ur crazy to say he shouldnt be ranked top 10 until proven otherwise.

I am saying that he shouldn't be ranked until he fights a ranked LHW.

you don't have to fight under the division limit to be ranked in a division.
you do have to make the limit to fight for a title, but as long as some of
your last few fights were within a few pounds of the lower divison you can
choose to be rated in that division by the belts, according to their rules.
the ring can do whatever they want. didn't ward weigh in around 170-171
for his last fight? i would have to look up the specific rules for ratings but
i'm pretty sure that would count as supermiddleweight as far as the belt
ratings go if he wanted to be rated in that division.

So winning one fight in 2 years against a guy named Paul Smith should have Andre Ward rise up the rankings? Come on. I'm glad he's not rated, in fact, I really wish that he got stripped of the title for refusing to fight for almost two years. Only in boxing can you keep a championship belt without fighting for 2 years.
I like Ward so much better as a commentator than a boxer anyway.

GGG's team just put out a challenge to Ward - Fight at 164 50/50 split.
Just a wild guess, but no way in hell will Ward accept the fight, even though it is basically what he demanded with Dawson...for the weight at least.

Chad Dawson called out Ward, and the weight was Chad's idea Andre just held him to it. How the hell that gets delusionally twisted so often I don't understand, but the hate Ward gets for no real reason isn't new.

Correct that was Dawson's idea, because according to Dawson Ward refused to agree to a weight in between. Ward said if not at 168 there was no fight. I never read anything where Ward disputed that scenario.
