I saw one bookmaker has it. Usually the others fall in line.

Klitschko -500
Fury +350

Entirely too low. No way it stays that low. Get on Wlad now.

Utterly f*cking ridiculous article. Just because someone bets on a guy to win doesnt mean he is FAVORED to win. They are betting on him at his odds price. If the odds were -110 on both sides who do you think would be leading the poll?

Quite a few have Klit as low as -400. Very tempting. Make 25% without breaking a sweat....

In my opinion (for what its worth) this will be Klitschko's toughest fight since the first contest with Sam Peter a decade ago. Whether Fury wins or loses, he will leave his mark on Klitschko and people will want to see a rematch. Personally, I think for the first five or so rounds, the two men will trade--- then the action will turn tactical for two-three rounds--- returns back to being a hard pressed contest and somewhere between the 10th-12th Fury will win on a TKO.

No way Clinchko will trade.

He will be forced to.

Disagree. Klitschko will dominate Fury and drop him with the first big right or left hook he lands. Comparing this fight with first Peter fight is idiotic. Klitschko was just learning his new style under Manny and his confidence was low (Brewster defeat). Fury has improved but three things are key a) he hasn't fought anyone really b) the people he has fought were not big HWs and c) he's wide open and his chin is not great.

For once I hope you are right. :D
I actually think that at Wlad's age of 39 a new era needs to come along soon.
It would add some excitement to the division.

I strongly doubt that Fury will want to trade either.

I've never felt this exited about a Klitschko fight since before he fought Haye.

I'm looking forward to this one, but my guess is it will be a repeat of another big mouth, David Haye, with Fury getting totally humiliated. Talk is cheap, always. But who knows, we'll soon see. Fury's showboating will definitely put asses in the seats, though.

There is no way that Wlad will clinch against bigger opponent that fights dirty. There will be no holding from Wlad.

The way I see it there is two ways that this fight will unfold.

First is that Fury tries to outbox Wlad from the distance. I don't see that working. Wlad will win the rounds with better boxing. Also i don't think that Fury can keep it up for the whole fight. At some point in the late rounds he will get sloppy and get blown out with straight right. KO in the late rounds.

Second way is if Fury tries to get up close and personal. In this scenario Wlad will knock him out in the early rounds. Fury will not win a fire fight against Wlad. One of those left hooks will end the game early.

I don't think that Fury has the chin and defense needed to beat Wlad :geek2:

I saw Fury showing of some of his proposed techniques on Sky sports against Nelson the other week.
He was using the Ali or in lesser terms the Nelson/Ingle approach by leaning back to avoid the shots.
Ok if you are Ali or even Naz but I fear for Fury if he does this against Wlad

Based on their most recent efforts you have to figure that Klinchko will do to Fury what he did to Pulev. Fury has never beaten a good large heavyweight or even a good normal-sized heavyweight (fat cruiserweights don't count). The first time Fury gets tagged a good shot he'll go into reverse and try to survive. Klinchko may just let him.

If Fury can measure the jab and hook upstairs he's bought 3 medium scale rounds, he has the power to knock out Klitschko though.
I can only imagine Wladimir will play it safe and use the jab to completely back up and front Fury at the same time.
Problem is Fury is a gypsy, he really means it most of the time and he's a knowledgeable guy when he puts his mind to it.
Love the match up I wish I could be there.

Although a want Klitschko to win ive got a feeling fury is gonna pull it off, cos stylistically a think its a bad matchup for Klitschko, Klitschko best weapon is his range control with his jab, that's why u can't get close to him cos he jabs and jabs and keeps u at range but the problem in this fight is Fury has a 4inch reach advantage over Klitschko and its hard to control range on a fighter that has a reach advantage over you, so if Fury fights smart and uses his jab then he'll be the one controlling the range so Klitchko will have to lean in with his shots with will make him out of range and therefore open to counters, as great at Klitschko has been the last 10 plus years hes never fought a fighter with a bigger reach than him and that can take away his best weapon which is controlling the range with his jab, remember Klitschko pre Emmanuel steward he got ko'd by purity, sanders and Brewster because he didn't use his jab effectively at the time and his chin was exposed, so I just see the size and reach of Fury being a massive problem for him, Plus Klitschko isnt going to fight on the inside cos he's not a good inside fighter, hope am wrong but if Fury uses his reach advantage and jabs and controls range on Klitschko then he takes away his best weapon. stylistically a think its could be a nightmare for Klitschko.

Speaking as someone who has boxed, you're massively overstating the impact that a fighter's reach has on their overall ability and performance. A guy with a great jab and shorter reach can out-jab a guy with a good jab and longer reach. Wlad-Wach is a good example of this. Fury has a better jab than Wach, but I don't think it's in the league of Wlad's.

I actually agree that Fury is a tough stylistic matchup for Wlad, but I think it's actually his inside fighting ability that poses the greater threat.
