Anyone else thinks Rocky may have been better of jumping ship to Fwank? he's never, ever going to be eddie's top boy even if he beats Callum, paul, frochy.... ever since his missed weight he's been cast aside. Frank would be building shows around him, and the Buglioni fight would have happened by now, Chudinoov, Eubank oppurtunities would always be there.

There's several Matchroom fighters that would probably be better off making the switch, but for whatever reason they choose not to. Seems like some get drawn into the whole sky sports exposure thing, when if exposure was really the priority they should be after fighting on terrestrial TV.

According to the board its on for the British Septemebr 26th....which is the date thats been mentioned for a while now. I'd guess Hearn may try to get some sort of eliminator/intertoto belt added as well as the British.

The echo arena is free that day too, which is where you guess they'd hold it.

been trying to think when the last time a british title fight was a world title eliminator? - if that happens then fair play to the board cos whoever wins will prob vacate it immediately - which isn't something they normally like to happen. however, they're the best two out there and they have been nominated - not their fault if their promoter can also get it to be a world title eliminator.

Fury-Chisora and Saunders-Eubank Jr last November, both for British and European titles and WBO eliminators, Saunders-Eubank Jr had the Commonwealth title on the line too.

Liverpool rivals meet for Lonsdale belt on November 7
Callum Smith and Rocky Fielding will clash for the vacant British Super Middleweight title in an all-Liverpool blockbuster at the Echo Arena on November 7, live on Sky Sports.
The unbeaten Liverpool stars have been on a collision course following their impressive wins in June, with Fielding blasting away World rated Texan Brian Vera inside two rounds and Smith outpointing former European champion Christopher Rebrasse.
Along with the coveted Lord Lonsdale belt – vacated by Callum’s brother Paul – the winner will take huge steps on the World scene in the 168lbs division as KO star Smith (17-0) is rated at number two in the WBC where he holds the Silver title while big-hitting Fielding (21-0) is rated at six in the IBF.
“This is one of the biggest domestic fights of the year and such a fascinating fight,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “Neither fighter would back down or out of this fight and now fight fans get an absolute cracker. It is 21-0 vs. 17-0, both fighters are ranked highly across all World governing bodies, there is going to be some atmosphere at a packed Echo Arena on November 7 but the big question – Who's Fooling Who?”

Yeah I've wanted to see Rocky v Paul Smith for a while. Would have added a bit more to this one too as I think Rocky would have done Paul Smith and this could have been brother to the rescue/revenge for 'our paul' etc. But can not complain at all now that they've made Rocky v Callum I personally don't think it will ultimately go the distance but I think its going to be a cracking scrap whilst it lasts.

Class fight for this stage in both their careers. Could have been one of those annoying scenarios where they wait to fight further down the line when the fight could be "bigger" (of course it could lose value too but they never say that).

Looking forward to finding out who the best SMW in Liverpool is before hopefully the winner, Degale and Groves battle it out to prove they're the best in Britain.
