I know all that, that's why I'm saying he needs a promoter in the UK.

He can be manager and promoter here if he gets a license, in the US he has to use others as a front for the shows because of the Ali Act.

surely Eddie is working on a percentage?
he will still get his money if he is putting DeGale on PPV for millions over here or Haymon is putting DeGale on US TV and paying him millions.
Either way DeGale gets a big pay cheque and Eddie takes his cut from that...

If DeGale fights on a Matchroom show Hearn won't take a cut of his purse, whether it's on PPV or not. If he's fighting in America Hearn might take a cut depending on the contract, there have been suggestions that DeGale's on a fight by fight deal with Matchroom, in which case I can't see Hearn getting anything if he fights on the road.

He won't get a promoters licence here. No way in the world. The lawsuits in the states would then have a president that he does both roles.

Hearn starts talking about it about 4 mins in, says they will be working together, which makes sense as there are a lot of big fights for him in the UK still

Nope, he has been acting as both. Hence the multi hundred million dollar lawsuits coming up vs Golden Boy & Top Rank.

What a Difference a year or so makes..
This time last year I was being laughed off of this forum for making similar threads about Hearn and now it's pretty universal that matchroom appear to be on the wain.
Hearn has now pretty much acknowledged that he can't deliver Rios and is even making up rubbish that part of the reason is that Top Rank are upset about the Flannighan-Zapeda fight and are now reluctant to send Brandon over....
So it will probably be another joker for Brook from the IBF rankings on a 'stacked' PPV.
As I said in the original post which top fighter exactly is Eddie going to be able to get over to England if he can't even manage Rios??
And if they have to go stateside then matchroom aren't going to be the promoters...serious trouble is on the way...maybe not this year but Kell will soon have a big decision to make.

Either Eddie is saying a pack of lies or it looks like he will work with Haymon with DeGale.

This is true, but given the money Haymon throws around, I'm sure those 'scraps' will be enough to keep the financially minded Hearn content.
That maybe true, but I doubt Eddie would be content with the role of a mere facade for Al's busyness, like those Goosens and Warriors and others are doing. He wont go to war for DeGale but if Al continues encroaching into Eddies kingdom we might see tensions rise.
Ooooooooh eddie is going to grow a pair and get tough with alfred haymon?
It'll be like when frank lopez took on tony montana and eddie will end up on the floor begging at alan haymons feet too. He will scream " kell brook! Ill give u kell brook ! Just let me live"

Interesting bit when eddie hinted in his IFL interview that another boxer (possibly from his stable) will join Al next week.

Hell he will make snooker the game of the hood.he"ll get dennis taylor taken out in a drive by shooting.he"ll get steve davis hooked on crack cocaine.hazel irvine will become one of his hoes.

Lee Selby for me too. The world class fighter an less of a draw in the UK. Sadly that mean no Selby vs Lomachenko.

A few years ago Goldenboy were going to buy up every fighter in boxing and run the full operation and we were all going to be doomed, now its the same story but it's Haymon......nothing will change promoters take a turn at dominating and then they fall away, same as world champions or football teams....

Manchester Hitman wrote:Big Al is making a run for the top UK fighters having acquired Frampton, Khan & Degale. how long before he comes calling for Brook?
Of the three guys you mention, Khan has never been Matchroom and has been US based for donkey's years, Frampton left MR a while back for other reasons and DeGale reportedly tried to sign with Haymon before (when he was with Henessey).
So I'm not sure those three guys signal a UK take over. But I agree if Brook or AJ were to move over it would be a massive deal.

I hope he gets a better first opponent from working with Haymon than Frampton has.
