Re: Do anyone think JMM would've beaten DLH??

I believe Spaddy would've beaten him at that time, FLoyd wasn't used to fighting SP's, I wasn't sure about Peterson but I know Lamont gave him hell in sparring so much so that even Floyd mentioned how tough it was.Counter-puncher wrote:Brut just made a funny, Floyd getting beat by both Spadafora and Peterson, really good stuff brut
I remember seeing a pic ofJMM and Cotto together. Cotto looked a lotbigger. I know that the bigger guy dosent always win, but in this case, two world class fighters, you'd have to give the bigger guy the nod in both fightsjezzamundo wrote:In his welterweight prime, I think Oscar De La Hoya would have beaten JMM very convincingly. I also think he would have beaten Cotto, Pacquiao and probably Floyd Mayweather too.
JMM vs Cotto at welterweight is a much trickier proposition - JMM is certainly the better boxer, but Cotto the bigger, stronger guy. I narrowly favour Cotto in this matchup, which is no disgrace to JMM because he isn't a natural welterweight and didn't enter the division until he was in his mid 30s.
Yes, I'd have favoured a prime DLH over all three at WW - people forget just how good and how powerful he was at that weight. He always had stamina issues Oscar, but Mayweather is no Tito Trinidad. In his prime, he carries on outboxing Floyd, and wins enough of the last 4 for a comfortable decision.jezzamundo wrote:In his welterweight prime, I think Oscar De La Hoya would have beaten JMM very convincingly. It all depends on at what point they met, the DLH pre-SSM 2 fight would have destroyed JMM but the same DLH that fought MP would've gotten wrecked.KBB wrote:In light of the other thread, I just wanted a straight up answer to the following 2 questions:
Had both Oscar and JMM been WWs at the same time, do you believe JMM would've beaten DLH?
Or the same for JMM vs Cotto, would he have beaten Miguel??
Thanks for your responses.
So if JMM would of roided up when Pac was roiding up how would it have gone.caldo2025 wrote:It all depends upon whether JMM roid'ed up for this fight like he did with Manny. I think he would have given Oscar a great fight if he was juicing but not when off the juice. Oscar would have rolled.
Childish is being naïve just because you happen to like a guy. JMM has a known Steroid peddler in his camp and he puts on 20lbs of muscle this late in his career? He's never come close to knocking Manny down in any other fight but all of sudden his knocking him off his feet and across the ring early in the fight and the ko at the end. Give me a break.tiny_acres wrote:So if JMM would of roided up when Pac was roiding up how would it have gone.caldo2025 wrote:It all depends upon whether JMM roid'ed up for this fight like he did with Manny. See 2 can play your childish games.Neither failed a freaking drug test so it is speculation.
Yup no test because Pacquiao didn't want testing for the fight.. oh the irony.. Pacquao sure jumped on the testing bit after that fight though lol.. too bad pacquIo avoided taking the test for atleast 4 years before Marquez put him to sleep.. coincidence? I think not lol.caldo2025 wrote:Childish is being naïve just because you happen to like a guy. JMM has a known Steroid peddler in his camp and he puts on 20lbs of muscle this late in his career? It's tough to get caught failing a test when there's no test dope.

You owned him!!
I still laugh about Team Pac accusing JMM of steroids. They wanted him to take the test but not themselves. JMM told them he would take any test as long as Pac did it too. Then team Pac dropped it. Guilty by association doesn't hold any water. You could say Pac is trained by known trainer that had steroid users in the past, so that makes Pac guilty. Doesn't make sense. Hypocrisy at its worst.caldo2025 wrote:How old are you? 6?KBB wrote:NateJR wrote:Yup no test because Pacquiao didn't want testing for the fight.. oh the irony.. I love it when the the JMM maggots come out whenever you mention him. JMM, second most overrated boxer to Miquel Cotto, has lost almost every big fight he's been in but for some reason people like to refer to him as great or a legend. Please. I think everyone's knocked his urine drinking ass down at some point or another. His claim to fame is knocking out Manny which was bound to happen if you fight the guy every year. Want to go the junkyard? Save the gas and just look at the wins JMM got on his record. He's had 10 fights against quality opponents and he's got 7 losses and a Draw in those fights. Get bent JMM and his pathetic maggot fans. OVERRATED! Trash.NateJR wrote: still laugh about Team Pac accusing JMM of steroids. They wanted him to take the test but not themselves. Someone said JMM put on 20 lbs of muscle? Lie. His muscles looked more toned, but he came in the same weight as he did vs Floyd as when he fought Pac.

If JMM is over-rated, it doesn't make Pacquiao look great, because a lot of people thought JMM won all of their fights, and proved he was the best in the last one. Other than Pac, Bradley, and Floyd, I can only think of one or two fights he lost. Pretty good group to have an L to. Regardless, he is definitely a hall of fame guy, and will be remembered as great

JMM's biggest wins were obviously the Manny KO and Barrera. Other than that, you'd have to dig deep to the depths of the internet to find out who these other guys were that he beat. I'll agree that JMM will make it in the HOF because it's really not that difficult to do in boxing.
Manny doesn't have anything to be ashamed of. He's had a great career and has records that will never be broken in the sport. JMM's goal in boxing was to finally beat Manny and he obviously would do anything he had to, to do it. The funny part is that Manny gave him rematch after rematch and JMM finally gets a win and now he refuses to give Manny a rematch. JMM is the definition of a pu55y and has no honor.
Your total disrespect for any boxer yet alone an ATG like JMM.Is the true definition of beingcaldo2025 wrote:JMM is the definition of a pu55y and has no honor.Badhusker wrote:
