There is nothing mediocre about Hughie as his amateur pedigree shows. There isn't much to criticise about his pro start either.
For me one reason he isn't bowling them all over is he does not sit down on his punches enough, due to the amateur style. He certainly is getting rounds under his belt and against decent enough,opposition at this stage of his development. While Joshua is certainly a puncher, Hughie does not stand still and leave his chin out to dry.

I was hoping Hughie would stand and trad towards the last few rounds rather than go on the back foot. I know that may sound a little careless but I'd like to see what he is made off.

What really infuriated me was the negativity in the ring, yes show off some of that movement but show some aggressive mentality as well, try and make a statement. You're on national TV so make fans want to see you again!

Let's be honest, if his surname wasn't Fury then he wouldn't be 15-0 (his current arrangement in order to get fights is well known - it is not his "fault" and I don't blame the lad for taking this advantage).

Based on his performances so far in my opinion he no way looks like an unbeaten pro after 15 fights.

Are you saying he would have lost a couple of the fights he's had or he would have had less fights or something else?

As Hughie doesn't get paid and team Fury pay the opponents purse in full, they have been able to get him to 15 fights quite quickly and carefully selected all of his opponents.

As I said, I am not criticising the lad - it is the formula I would follow if I were in their shoes.

Yes. And I'm not saying you were criticising him. I just disagree.

He was the first British fighter to win a world youth title at super heavy. If his name wasn't Fury he would have got snapped up by some other promoter & might have fought complete nobodies. Or he may have been thrown to the sharks. I think he's been managed well given his age (& whatever dodgy ailments he's got).

He's very young in terms of heavyweight. No need to rush him. He's learning the craft well.

needs to get some muscle on those twigs. too much cuffing the guy round the corners when a straight jab through the gloves would have been better. he didn't need to run away from the guy either. the brazilian had no power, Hughie really ought to have stood his ground and whacked his jab out. he looked fit and carried no excess which I like, but power is not usually a commodity that one acquires over time. i'll keep watching his progress and hope he improves.

Name a heavyweight that 'developed' punching power? You either have it or not as a heavy.
That's not slagging him off, but they need to develop his boxing skills as he's not going to suddenly turn into Joe Frazier
