Its how you get the A-Lister. For 35-0, Brooks record definitely looks slightly padded and would definitely like to see him in with a Bradley, Thurman, Maidana even Marquez. I just don't see how Eddie is going to get any of them over here. So he fights another fringe contender... and we are no further forward. Ideally, try and make a Garcia/Peterson (still Light w/w??).. then you have "I beat the guys who beat you" angle.

khan is still lacking a genuine ww victory on his cv. collazo being the only career welter he has beat, but old past his best and not really a top ww these days. the best offer he is gonna get is brook, but either khan or his people know that a certain ko loss is on the cards.

In fairness, Khan was offered a huge purse to fight Brook.

he was offered via social media... did they actually put forward a real offer

& its a no brainer... that show will make money.. and lots of it

I agree. If he is as confident in brook as he makes out on the tv then he should speculate to accumulate. Brook beating a top welter throws all the pressure on khan

What does khan bring to the table? He will want more money than the others too

Bradley costs the most money. Last few fights he's been around the 2 million mark Khan has been earning closer to 1 million.

Khan realises he plays second fiddle to the Mayweather show.
I get the impression Bradley likes being one of the TR top earners.
Realistically Mayweather will only fight a Haymon fighter now.
The huge question that we need to think about is that the biggest fight for his 50th is the Canelo-Cotto winner. Will he go against Haymon and fight either GBoy Canelo or TR Cotto. UNLIKELY.
If not then then the huge 50th show pretty much looks like Khan, Garcia or Thurman.

Khan hasn't won a world title fight for 4 years, Brook and Bradley are WW world champions. Bradley has a win over Pacquiao.
Porter was a WW champ and has a win over Floyd's pal (Broner)
Brook, Thurman and Garcia are undefeated. Garcia knocked Khan out.

The article refers to khan being a front runner for the third time. Is this a view held across the water or is it just what the UK thinks?

Khan needs meaningful title fights now, he can't keep treading water now he's going to have to risk it for a biscuit.
