Pacquaio fighting rios and algieri was terrible, at the same time Algieri was undefeated and rios had only lost once, Berto has lost 3 of his past 6 and floyd again touts himself TBE, buddy fight is a crock of shite

Your canned response supposedly created to prove your objectivity is old and played out. The point of my post was to illustrate the fact that Floyd has to have certain advantages before and after he takes a fight with anyone and the boxer he chooses to fight is vetted up and down to make sure that Floyd is picking that person at the right time. Then the fight HAS to be at the MGM... the Gloves HAVE to agree to Floyd's personal liking on fight night...Dave Moretti HAS to be one of the judges...Kenny Bayless MUST be the ref or one of his puppet pupils. The fact that you refuse to acknowledge these ridiculous facts completely proves that you can't be on the jury panel, KBB. The evidence in this case is impossible to ignore. Boxing allowed Floyd Mayweather Jr to be bigger than the sport and that's a credit to Floyd but don't be selling me on a couple of dumb names that you say were #1 contenders. You lost even more credibility when you mention the second most overrated fighter in history, Mosley. They call this BLIND WITH ENVY, KBB. Think about it.

Let's not compare Floyd with Garcia now...
I give Floyd credit for fighting Castillo, Corrales, Canelo, Pacquiao... Those were excellent wins. He is the best defensive boxer I have ever seen since I have been following the sport. I just don't like most of his choices of opponents. I would have loved to had seen him take all the top guys in the division when he should have. And I'm not even saying he would have lost. And I am not saying go up in weight either. Just fight all the top guys in your division when they are the top guys. But, this isn't the UFC.
Stop pawning this off as just a buddy fight. It's not just a buddy fight, it's a cop out.
It should be obvious to everyone that this is just a buddy fight, and I'm not touting anything; I already said it was a crap fight but that's not enough for you guys to continue whining and crying like little bitches about a fight that is going to take place and there's nothing you can do about it.
If you don't like it then it is a simple matter of just not watching it and then you'd have nothing else to wet your kotex about, you can't fight everybody.
Did Pacquiao fight Thurman, Maidana, Porter, Khan or anyone else at the top of the WW division outside of Bradley and JMM recently??
No!! So why bother with Floyd when fighting him is no worse than fighting Rios.
Floyd stinks

If Floyd really considered himself TBE, he should have no issue fighting GGG at 154, wouldn't you agree kbb

Who needs GGG. If Floyd looks good against Berto, he is surely a shoe in for GOAT.

A list of all fighters who have earned a fight with Mayweather, he'll say they haven't earned it.
Berto, who is a complete joke and hasn't earned it, Mayweather will say he earned it.
Fighters who deserve this fight include Brook, Lara, Garcia, Bradley, Thurman, and Crawford. More distantly, you could argue Matthysse, Khan and Golovkin, on the basis that Matthysse is pretty good for his size, Khan has popularity and good momentum, while Golovkin is clearly a serious threat to Mayweather, but unfairly advantaged.
Berto deserves this fight as much as Malignaggi, Broner, Algieri, Alexander, Rios, Guerrero, or Vargas. In other words, he has a mild degree of name value, but has done 0 to earn this fight, currently has no momentum, and is not genuinely anywhere in the top 10. Like, how does a dude lose to Victor Ortiz, Robert Guerrero, and Jesus Soto Karass, and then get a fight with Mayweather?

The answer was already given, Floyd never stated that Berto earned it, he never made any excuses whatsoever.....plain and simple it is a crappy buddy fight, y'all are the ones making the excuses, he hasn't.
He's just trying to put money into the pocket of his friend before he retires, is that an excuse, no, it's just the fact. I don't like this fight no more than anyone else but I call it for what it is; a crappy fight to give a paycheck to his friend.
No different than Garcia vs Salka and Leo Santa Cruz vs that Mexican guy he fought recently.

If he was such a good buddy give him a million to be a sparring partner in a camp where floyd is fighting a higher ranked opponent, don't spoon feed fans trash, the fans are the reason he's rich

I agree but apparently you guys do not understand how giving away money works when you give away that amount of cash. I'm not making excuses for him because this is a garbage fight and there are deserving opponents, I just see it as a buddy fight no different than all the others who have already done this before but no one was making a big deal of it as they are now simply because y'all hate Floyd.
I get it.

Mayweather is an odds on favorite of 1/100 vs. Berto. Meaning that for every one hundred dollars you bet on Floyd, you win $1 in return. He wants to tie Marciano's record of 49-0 without any possibility of being distuption.
Odds found @ Paddypower.

So according to you Floyd has all the advantages; let's see:
vs Canelo-who is bigger, younger, stronger and had more fights than Floyd at the time
vs Oscar-DLH was bigger, more experienced, better chin, taller.
vs SSM-bigger, been at the weight longer, bigger puncher, better chin, more experience
vs Maidana-younger, stronger, great chin, tougher physically, bigger puncher
vs Corrales-taller, longer, bigger puncher, great chin, physically stronger
vs Castillo-stronger, more experience, bigger puncher, greater chin
I could go on and on but a Hater like you have already been exposed by your own lies and BS.

in the old days this fight would not have been
seen as a travesty at all. and there is a difference
between giving a friends charity or a chance. this
is still boxing and maidana had no chance in paper
either. he took on good opposition recently and if
he either takes a breather or an easy one out to
secure the "0" ... both fine with me.
one can criticise floyd for many things, this fight
doesn't have to be among them.

What is this crap? Canelo having more fights than Floyd is an advantage? How does Oscar (or anyone you mentioned for that matter) have a better chin that Floyd, who has never been legitimately knocked down in his career?
Floyd is a master boxer. A master. The only legitimate advantages any of the guys mentioned had over Floyd would have been size and power; which is easily negated by Floyd's defense.
I know you're reaching really far to try and make some point, but that list is just silly.

lol to you claiming that I'm reaching when I have proven my point against the bs that Caldo was spewing. Yes having more fights is an advantage because that equals ring experience, I'm not sure how you can call yourself a boxing fan and not know this.
We could easily say that Floyd has all the advantages over every opponent he faced using your garbage analogy and Caldo's BS but then I've already proven that to be horsesh*t.
