The injury and surgery should be easy to prove.

Just show the scars.

I look forward to seeing the scar too. Was it a simple arthoscopic outpatient or major? You would think it's out there somewhere due to the injury being rather fishy.

Modern medicine sucks.
Come to find out that a bunch of sports surgeries are 100% unnecessary.

Ocean water > Surgery
I'm gonna get pushed into the Atlantic ocean tomorrow in my wheelchair, i'm sure my spinal injury will be instantly healed and I'll be walking again...
So because you can't be healed by the ocean (now), I should feel stupid that billions of dollars are being wasted on unnecessary surgeries, testing and medication?

Whatever, every American knows our education system sucks ...
yet almost every American walks around with 100% confidence in a medical system ranked lower than education.

Given the gibberish that you are spouting, I can only presume you were educated in the U.S.

Modern medicine has saved countless millions of lives, modern surgical practices have given us transplants, cochlea technology, artificial joints, brain tumour removal, to name just a few things. 50 years ago, if you were 70 and your hips wore out from wear and tear, you walked with sticks for the rest of your life, now hip replacements have become pretty much routine.

What are these 'unneccessary' surgeries you talk about?

It's a miracle!

On a serious note it is 9 or 10 weeks since he fought and if it was only a slight tear it could have healed by now.

Pac's run from the late 90s until around 2012 was as good as I've seen.

He's done brilliantly to beat many very good welters but he was a great fighter as a feather and super feather...he's not a great welterweight.

Possibly...
2 of the scorecards each had him winning 4 rounds. with any improvement it
would be a draw. there were rounds which pac won clearly. the fight went the
way everyone expected, with floyd moving and pot shotting a lot. roach told
pac to be more aggressive between rounds but pac didn't follow instructions.
would pac have won more rounds if he was more aggressive? hard to say but
after so much hype over so long and such a huge payday, pac has no excuses.
there are guys who won fights with dislocated shoulders.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT6kSm2hua4
i'm not saying pac could have won the fight under any circumstances, but
he was a big disappointment to say the least as far as his effort level in the
biggest fight of his career. he should have left it all out there and he didn't.
if there is a rematch, he should do it for free. otherwise, just move on and
accept that he lost to the better boxer in his biggest fight with an otherwise
great career to look back on.
I'm not sure any version of Manny would beat Mayweather after seeing that fight. As much as I wanted Manny to win, Floyd's defense is just too good.

Me either. They could graft a third arm on there, and he'd still lose.

Manny just could not land anything significant on Floyd, he was kept negative by Floyd's feints and movement.

My ex brother-in-law once told me something regarding football.

A great offense wins games. A great defense wins championships.

I think that's pretty much true for boxing as well. It seems, in most cases since I have been following boxing, that the best fighters in the world have a very strong defense.

I tend to like the offensive fighters more, though.

I agree watching the more offensive fighters is way more enjoyable.
But if I had to be either a defensive master or an offensive one.I would choose Defensive.
Offensive fighters might be more fun to watch but the punishment most of them take is not
worth it in the long run.

I think he would look even more inept against Floyd.
He knows how he was out classed and no excuse he could come up with will
give him the confidence he needs.Manny would lose even worse in a rematch.
i thought it was closer than most had it,
but i agree it will be a clear floyd win the
second time around.

true for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and practically every other sport, particularly when it
comes down to capitalizing on offensive errors. the cubans in the olympics are experts at
manipulating the pace of a match to make it low scoring with a clear difference
in the low total. even rigo v donaire was like that. for me, lara was painful to watch
v canelo and deserved to lose, but lots of people feel differently. i just can't stand
the stalling in boxing that is excused as defense.

I don't doubt Manny injured his shoulder; but it didn't make any difference in the fight in my opinion. Floyd is just better.

FWIW I tore my labrum about 8-9 months ago. I still can't lift my arm above parallel or internally rotate it pain free. Back in March I won my state's title and set the state record in the bench press. That range of motion is relatively pain free for me, but mostly it was the adrenaline of competition that got me through it. There are countless examples of fighters fighting through injuries and not showing signs of it right away. Heck I broke a few ribs once and didn't feel any pain (only shortness of breath) for three days. I had three good cracks and the doctor was surprised it took me that long to come in. And that local mma match was about as far from the hundred million dollar national scene as you can get. The fact that Manny threw punches without grimacing or raised his hand after the fight is not an indicator that the injury was faked to anyone with any knowledge of injuries in sports.

So, you don't believe that man landed on the moon, or that CERN isn't a secret devil worshipping cult, but you believe that a claimed shoulder injury (which I don't believe he ever had, TBF) can be dismissed in light of a short video clip of him playing basketball? Interesting.

I'd probably agree with most sports that defense can be superior, and a great defence will outdo a great offence. I don't believe that to be true of boxing however. Every so often a freak of nature comes along and very much get the feeling it's the unstoppable force that would come out on top against the immovable object. Right now, on the current scene, I can't imagine anyone being able to handle Golovkin at middleweight or Kovalev at LHW. They just hit too damn hard with amazing precision. Hopkins surviving on the brink is probably about as good as anyone could do against either right now.

I thought about this. In most cases is what I'm saying. And I found Kovalev to mix his offense with his defense very well against Hopkins. I also think GGG's defense is severely underrated.
