What makes you think that? I've never seen the guy I don't think so couldn't agree or disagree. He looks quite fleshy.

I'm not going to go back as far as Sconiers, but people seem to gloss over that the underwhelming Molina ROCKED Wilder in the third with a left hook. He had a bit of a row with a guy who was expected to be flattened. Wilder is not hard to find for a tall guy, his technique is appalling, and that chin is going to go any minute now.

Duhaupas, as far as I can tell, may be a touch slower than Molina, but I think (will need to watch some more) is tougher and grittier. He was strong enough to last it out in the trenches on close terms with Teper, a bruising encounter. And I can't help but always come back to that long, long line of stiffs that Wilder was put in with at the start of his career. Someone in that camp is terrified, they know something very bad is up with this guy's constitution.

Of course Wilder could end it all with one of those powerful flurries. But something tells me Duhaupas will stand up to it and come back. 16/1 for the Frenchman by KO is value in my eyes.

Worth a cheeky tenner then?

I think so at 16/1. I think it should be priced around 7s myself - or maybe even shorter. Outright is 12s if you fancy that.

The Wilder camp are hanging out a massive banner saying their guy has serious issues and they have no confidence in him. A real "who gives a f&&k" champion

Duhaupas looks game at the press conference this may not be as one sided as you think.

I'd take much more pleasure in wilder getting chinned than I would Wlad.

How? Is he going to get in a time machine and beat prime heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield?

Because, I ain't sure beating Deontay Wilder will contribute to much worldwide hysteria, outside of Al Haymon's office.

Shock the boxing world then :D

There may be folk who aren't surprised because Wilder is chinny. But remember what the line is. Duhaupas is being priced like an absolute scrub here. He's not a very good fighter by a long shot. But neither is Wilder.

Interesting you give this guy a good chance, I know Wilder looked crap last time out, but he did look good against Steverne - who's world class and can really punch - but DW did seem to have regressed last time out, so much so that I was wondering if he may have been sparked in sparring, between fights, cause he looked sooo gun shy

i don't really rate Stiverne. He did get his reputation purely off the back of beating Arreola, who we know has always been limited. It's really hard to get accurate points of reference in today's heavyweight division. Everyone is so bad and the ones who seem marginally better than the others based on the odd decent performance here and there are still bad on an absolute scale.

if someone put a gun to my head I'd have to choose Wilder but I just feel like the value on Duhaupas is too much to pass up here. If Duhaupas had signs in his past of folding to pressure then the value isn't there, but he's a tough guy with some size who can get into the trenches and fire back. I don't see him as someone who's coming to lie down, and as soon as he survives the initial onslaught and lands a few of his own, which is something Molina did (and who the hell gave Molina ANY shot?) that 16/1 is going to look like a damn good price I think.

I also feel like there's a chance WIlder is believing the hype and might be a touch underprepared. I feel like he'll be hearing a lot of people around him saying this is a breeze.

Let me ask people this: If you were guaranteed 16/1 by KO for a wilder opponent who you knew matched Molina in every way, would you take it? Because you should. Think about that left hook Molina landed in round 3, think about how Wilder reacted, and then think about whether that's a 16/1 shot. Now think about a guy with a tougher constitution, who figures to last longer in the fight with more chance of landing something, who isn't giving away many disadvantages to Molina barring possibly speed.

yeah I've just looked at his record, and he might be one of those French hard case tough nuts, only lost to on pts to 2 undefeated fighters and beaten another by KO. Not much smaller than DW either. One thing is, based on his last scared to death performance, I doubt Wilder is going to be over confident by a long shot, he's got the look of a man tip toeing along on thin ice at the moment.

Shame none is showing over here

I admit that if Wilder comes in like he did vs Stiverne he should win easily. But there's just too much chance of the Molina Wilder showing up in this fight. That's what I'm hoping for.

I hope your right. But I also think it's worth mentioning that if it goes to the cards (which I don't think is beyond the realms of possibility) with Wilder being an American potentially worth as much as he is, against a relatively unknown French fighter? I have a better chance of getting that decision than Duhaupas.

Just wanted to bring that into the mix, as I think it could be a factor.

Can't help but LAY Wilder at 1.04 (essentially backing Duhaupas and the draw/tech draw at 25/1)

Just watched it Duhaupas credit to him he was very game he could push Wilder back but didn't have that ruthlessness to capitalise on it.

Still feel Wilder is a highlight reel KO waiting to happen. Lets see if he fights Povetkin next then. Any move from his team to avoid the fight ( step aside money) shows they have no confidence in their fighter.

Just saw it. Duhaupas gave a good account of himself, what a tough guy. He took it to Wilder and couldn't have done more. Would have been interesting if he'd managed to land a few more punches on that swelling. Not sure how Wilder sustained that kind of damage and it doesn't bode well for when he faces better foes.

Before this fight I thought Povetkin would clean Wilder's clock but I don't know now. I think Wilder can take him. Wilder has more guts than I gave him credit for.

I've never seen a problem with Wilder's intangibles--his tangibles however, are terrible: the defence, a lot of his punching technique (if you watch the Duhaupas fight he doesn't always get you right on the end of his punches & cos he's relying on brawn & athleticism this takes away some of their impact when they land like this) & the obvious questions about his chin.

He did do well to win with that swelling though. Kudos to the lad, he came through a test he probably should've had in his 15th fight.

Just watch the fight and Du**** did well for a punching bag. Give him credit for a top 30 heavyweight.

Wilders power very over rated as he threw everything into it. The reality is that anybody who could punch would have put Wilder on the canvas. He needs to learn defence.

It is a bit sad now as the more poor competition he faces the more it looks like he is over hyped..
