I don't get why they ban it.
Just make everyone declare what they are taking, so we all know what's going on.
Are you in favour of removing padding from gloves, too?
Just asking.
I can see both sides of this. From a sporting background I just want it to be as even as possible going in...and as PEDs are here to stay then maybe just let them do as they please. Feed them tiger bollocks between rounds...
On the other if a guy is on PEDs and kills the other guy in the ring...then what?

Very dodgy, they're all bloody at it. Manny highly suspicious too. Holyfield ...
Paula Radcliffe ? Mo Hussein ? Cough cough
Linford was busted too..Alan Wells
Tennis ? Back to back 7 hour unbelievably exhausting matches..no problem ! Check out Rafa Nadals Popeye type physique a few years ago, and he never uses weights...
Serena Williams ? Dope testers turn up to her house, and she locks herself in her panic room & calls cops, refuses the test. Do "journalists" ever ask her about that ? Do they hell...

Is that true? I've never heard that before and that's an absolute shocker!

alan wells, is there any substance to that claim?
agree RE Nadal btw. also Djokovic and his sudden ascent from middling-decent player to near-unbeatable machine, nah that wasn't suspicious at all.

That sounds a highly dubious story to me. Why the fvck would she need to lock herself in a panic room & call the police? She could have just pretended she was out.

Yes the Williams incident is routinely referred to by the cowed media as an unfortunate "drugs mix up"...hilarious how obedient these so called journos are

And Wells was implicated in a recent doc, by one of his fellow Scottish sprinters, who said it was well known that they both had a very friendly doctor on board. Nothing concrete, but it had the ring of truth about it.

To be fair, if i was a black person in america and some federal looking folk turned up at my door I'd probably run for cover. You never know when they might start shooting the place up!

I can see where you're coming from mate but PEDs isn't like other training. I can run up & down steps & lift car axles & do burpees & skip; matey-boy can train in a hypbaric trainer serviced by unicorn's blood: I might still beat him.
I use steroids from the PED equivalent of Poundland, am I getting as much benefit as someone on a multi-million dollar programme designed by NASA including erythropoetin jacking, blood-doping, gene-splicing & nanobots injected into their veins?
THe simple answer is no. Unless you provide the drugs that athletes are able to use then you will never in a trillion years have a level playing field in a capitalist society, 'cos the biggest earners will always be able to afford the best gear.
Only way is proper zero tolerance. People whine & bitch "Oh it's so hard to catch people" butthe carbon isotope ratio tests Margaret Goodman uses have caught Berto, Peterson, Tarver & others.
Why doesn't everyone just use that? Obviously, 'cos they'd like to remain uncaught.
On the other if a guy is on PEDs and kills the other guy in the ring...then what?
Exactly why I get so narky about it. & the reference to glove-padding removal earlier. & because of the nature of the beast, unless you administer the drugs yourself & monitor 24/7 then you'll never ever have a level playing field 'cos the best-funded athlete can just buy the best gear.

Wasn't there a clause in the PAC v Floyd fight that if either fighter failed a PED test they would get a massive fine , also why would a fighter like Floyd that makes the weight easily need a iv drip !he doesn't drain himself like some fighters it makes little sense to me unless it's a masking agent

Not to mention that at the 30-day weigh in he was 150.5lb. Why does a fighter who only had 3.5lb to lose with 30 days of training camp, need to dehydrate so badly to make weight?
And is simply being dehyrdated enough to grant an exemption?
"When an IV infusion is administered to an athlete, the following criteria should be fulfilled:
A clearly defined diagnosis.
Supportive evidence that no permitted alternative treatment can be used.
The treatment has been ordered by a physician and administered by qualified medical personnel in an appropriate medical setting.
Adequate medical records of the treatment."
Was he really dehydrated enough to be seen as some kind of medical emergency? Was it a last resort - did he medical team attempt to rehydrate him using legal methods first?

Great. Are you willing to trust the fighter's camps to remove the same amount of padding & take their word for it without examining the gloves in question?
Because this is basically what you've advocated & why I'm pursuing this line of questioning.

Then how would you propose--bearing in mind that in consensus reality we can agree that different PEDs have different levels of effectiveness--that "take what you want" encourages a level playing field when there are markedly different levels of performance enhancement/life shortening side effect depending on how much money one has available to spend on them?

Any contact sport should have an absolute zero tolerance to PED's and a lifetime ban for those who fail drug tests. Exemptions could be made in some cases depending on the severity or drug in use. Energy drinks or off the shelf products can cause mix ups and mistakes can happen but when its blatant steroid use then a lifetime ban is the way forward. I genuinely believe that a jail sentence should also follow in some cases as at the end of the day it could be fraud at the very least.
As long as its not contact sports then I'm not fussed whatsoever what they are putting in their bodies....

Things aren't fair now and they wouldn't be fair under my system either.

Looks like several prominent marathon races are being called into question now. 3 time London and 3 time New York Marathon winner Paula Radcliffe is furious.
