Fancy footwork and very little other than that, unless he seriously improves he'll get chinned once he steps past domestic level.

Edwards a bit cocky for someone who doesn't have much power. Clearly winning the fight though, just quicker and more active.

Says a lot about the state of the amateurs that he was considered to be a top fighter. Over 3 rounds, especially at the lower weights it's too easy for fighters to dance their way through fights, running round the ring landing arm punches without ever doing any damage to their opponents. Either the judging needs to change to favour fighters that punch with at least some power, or the ring needs to be made smaller so it's easier for the fighter on the front foot to cut the ring off.

Drama free fight but it was a good English level title fight, its always good to see 2 unbeaten fighters go in with each other before they reach major title level and seeing as it was only Edwards 5th pro fight i though he boxed well,he didnt always have the quality on his punches but his movement of head and feet was good and so was his engine,i was impressed with Norman when i watched him on channel 5 a couple of months back and i thought he couldve won this but Charlie dominated him

Plenty to work for Edwards especially the annoying yelping but all in all i'd be happy if i was his trainer

Whyte up next I believe. Should be a good knockout win for him.

We hear how guys in the lower weights are fast tracked...7lbs lighter Kosei Tanaka won a world title in fight #5, Takuma Inoue has beat 3 world level guys in his first 5 fights, Naoya Inoue beat a current world champion in his 4th fight. If we're going to say guys in these lower weights are fast tracked then we need to judge Edwards by that same standard...and going by that performance it showed how weak the Flyweight division is in England. Especially with all the smoke being blown up his arse by Halling and Co.

No way Edwards is ready for Satchell.

Halling said he looked impressive Prospect. He didn't say he looked World class and needs to be put in with the World champs right now.

I'm pretty sure you complained about Bellew v a bin man being put on TV instead of a competitive English title fight on the Leeds bill. Now you get what was expected to be a competitive fight on here and you still find reason to whine about it.

Fighting Prince Patel next.

Outrage isn't it. I mean Lomachenko fought for a WT in his 2nd fight therefore we need to apply the same standard to Patel!!!!!!!

I don't see the point in rushing Edwards because of what happened with Kosei Tanaka et al. He's obviously not at World Level yet.

There are only 8 professional flyweights in England so winning the English title doesn't mean as much as say at middleweight but still I don't see the point in pissing on this guy's performance. Let's see what he does next before we write him off.
