He's got more of a chance than Bruno did in Tyson 1, which started the PPV ball rolling.
yeah, but Fury hasn't got a very big fanbase. He's never sold out arenas like Joshua.
When?

Pretty much his whole career. Name a Fury show that sold more tickets than Joshua's last fight?

Fury isn't huge ticket seller but he is popular TV fighter. Plenty of PPV will be bought.
Got any evidence of him being a popular TV fighter? More popular than Joshua or Haye?

Bruno - Tyson 2, wasn't it?
Yes. The first one was the first big Sky show.

Keith, I've been to a Joshua fight at The MEN which was about a third full. Nobody had come to see him. Tyson-Del 2 outsold last week, easily.

Aren't you making some dangerous assumptions here ?
Are you assuming that both Tyson and Kell are on a fee per sale basis ?

No. I actually said I hope Tyson is on a % and Kell a set fee.

Being completely honest, i was considering givibg the fury fight a miss. Don't see it being competitive. However, having a full Sheffield card with Brook in a decent match makes it good value.

Why would i pay for fury when he was free on ch5 a year or so ago and was more entertaining on cards where he was a guest rather than fighting

That may or may not be the case, we don't know (you may, I concede). Can the purses of the entire Sheffield card be paid on ticket sales and the standard Sky fee alone, do you think?

It's safe to assume Fury is on a %. His dad was was urging people to buy on IFL TV and the 16.95 price or whatever it was he said came very fluidly out of his mouth.

Fury is almost certainly on a percentage - he's not signed to Sky or Matchroom, he'll have only agreed to Sky PPV for a percentage.

Well it all depends on the contract Fury has for the fight.
Did the Klitchkos give him the UK TV rights ?
It's their Promotion.
I genuinely don't know the answer.

Whatever, they must be on a good deal to agree just before purse bid deadline. I think the Klit's were keen on Hayes UK TV cash and that was a major stumbling block for a long time. They will be well aware how lucrative they can be.

Do you think Klitschko-Fury/Brook-Chaves will have as many PPV buys in the UK as Klitschko-Haye?

No. Loads of contributing factors. Brook-Chves doesn't even come into it. Haye himself hasn't helped with his non performance against Wlad and the backlash from Floyd-PAC had many vowing they'd never buy PPV ever again.

Nothing to do with Fury's appeal?

I suppose his appeal will have a bearing on the numbers. What are you trying to get at Keith? Why does it hurt you so much Fury is in a big fight? Tyson has boxed in front of millions on terrestrial television for years, it won't phase him. And I notice you didn't answer my point about AJ selling zero tickets at the show I saw him on. Or when I mentioned the arena being much more full for Chisora 2 than ANY AJ fight... I'll leave you too it now, mate, you've got my opinion. No, it won't outsell Wlad-Haye, Wlad will win, it will be a big successful show and do very good numbers, a Tyson will be a wealthy success story whatever happens.

If Fury has the UK TV rights he will be on a fixed fee per purchase from Sky.
If he hasn't the Klits will have sold them to Sky.
In either option his purse will reflect that ie greater if the Promoter has the rights.
Now as a few have mentioned German undercards can be dire.
So by putting the UK show on that gets Sky over that problem so maybe Kel has received a tickle over the purse but I wouldn't think substantial.
What are people's views on how many this will sell ?

Difficult to predict how it will do as they never actually release the figures anyway. The last 3 PPVs have all been extremely disappointing and won't have engendered any goodwill from casual fans so it may suffer a hangover from those, although I do actually think this event is PPV worthy. This will also be the first PPV for years without Ringside acting as Sky's hype machine; will be interesting to see how they attempt to sell it.

I think it'll do relatively well. Fury's terrestrial exposure should not be underestimated. He's not got a huge ticket buying fanbase but he's well known and I'm confident that when hype-week is over, there'll be plenty of people signing up for the PPV.

:TU: I hope you get to meet Tyson's father in law, Mickey - you'll like him, he's a real gent.

Maybe the German card will now be a standalone PPV? If so will Fury and Klitschko both end up with more dough?
