Would anyone else love to see ovill win a world title before bellew then tell him to F off when bellew inevitably calls him out due to having no chance of beating any of the other champions.

He was 26-10-2 (8) Vs Fernando Vargas, only won ONE fight after that, a stoppage over Ross Minter. He went 1-69-0-1 following the Vargas bout
O_O That's an amazing run to end his career

absolutely, I would have no problem with ovill "sitting" on his title for a few decent paydays.

Same here.
After a couple of defences he could then give Boomer a shot (hopefully for shite money).
With a full training camp with notice I would love him to smash Boomer in front of his home crowd

Hard, hard ask for Ovill. Ramirez as stated by others, is one tough SOB. He took everything Huck had to throw at him and still kept plowing forward. He'll be much bigger than Ovill and hits hard. Nevermind that's it's in Argentina where he'll get no favours and he's only had 11 days notice. I hope Ovill pulls it off but IMO his only hope is to walk Ramirez onto something early.
Still, I'll be cheering for the upsetter!

What a great story Ovill McKenzie is. Similar sort of start as Johnny Nelson had to his career. It is going to be a tough ask, but you know that Ovill will give it his all. As other say, I hope he gets a couple of good pay days off the back of it.

To be fair he had a fill camp and notice for the 2nd fight and were I appreciate it was boring fight Bellew easily controlled every second of the rematch I appreciate there are people who don't like Bellew but he soundly outclassed Ovil in the 2nd fight after the controversial end to the 1st one ??

Odds at 8-1 for Ovill to win. The Argie is only 5'7 too.
Worth a punt.

I noticed that the other day very short for a cruiser. But he's more than held his own with guys well over 6 foot.

Started at HW as well.
As much as i would love for Ovil to get the win, I kinda feel like it might devalue the division a little bit.
Huck, Arslan, Lebedev, Drozd, Makubu, Mchunchu,Chakhkiev, Usyk, Glowacki, Kalenga,Afolabi , Hernandez.
Ovil just genuinely doesn't fit into that crowd, and i like to think after his win against Ola that Ramirez really does, if not you'd have to suggest he was shot to bits and got caught at the right time. He's had a great career and i love the guy but he is a domestic level CW.

That's gotta be wrong. The Huck fight was years ago so was memory of it is hazy but he didn't look
that much shorter than the 6 foot 2 inch Huck.....

Good post mate, pretty much agree with everything you say there. But it would be niceto see someone like Ovill get the rub of the green for once! Seems like a genuinely nice guy and has done things the hard way.

I'm hoping that people don't take domestic level as an insult, i think its a wonderful achievement. I hope he makes it interesting, my only worry is if he suffers a 12 round pummeling like Buglioni did.
like I say, a Ramirez win is best for the division.

Thought that was a bit late. It's on my TV guide as 4-7. I've set it to record but will need to keep checking it incase they change it to a 2am start.

I got 8-1 on skybet last night. Skybet still had it 6-1 lunchtime but its 5-1 or 4-1 most places now.
The Argie 's height is listed as 5-7 on boxrec.

Ramirez's height was given as 1.81 metres (a tad over 5ft 11ins) on the TV on-screen graphic when he boxed Marco Huck in Germany. No way is Ramirez only 5ft 7ins.
