il prob watch it but there is no way i or anyone for that matter should pay for this. The full ppv was based around the Fury fight. this could be the lowest ppv for boxing ever

Is Burns/Tatli definitely on as there is nothing on the EBU website and nothing listed on Boxrec, Burns is listed now against a TBA.

Bill gets worse so instead of a world title and 2 ebu titles, we now have (at present of course) 1 world 1 Euro and 1 Central area title fights.

Something must be in the offing they can't seriously expect to get away with this type of bill, its just a Saturday night bill its no where near PPV class now and to be honest since Fury came off the ppv part its not been either.

Stole this link from another thread - even Fury doesn't think this is a PPV event!

I voted Maybe.

It comes on an inconvenient date for me anyway, because I might be out celebrating somebody's birthday around that time.

If I'm in, it depends on the undercard. I might buy it, despite being well aware that it isn't a PPV worthy main event.

To be honest, I'm going to be in a minority of one on this, but I really wasn't feeling Klitschko vs Fury. It was a fight with a huge favourite as champion vs a challenger whom I don't particularly like. It wasn't PPV for me.

The addition of the Kell Brook card, no matter how un-PPV worthy it was, added some interest and made me want to order the PPV more.

It's a see what I'm doing, see who else is on the card, maybe-job for me.

As it stands, definitely not, that card stinks.

I held fimr on Brook v Gavin and will hold firm on this one. Was very happy to pay for it when Fury was on, but I have been vocal about Chaves as a poor opponent for Brook so would make no sense if I now went and bought it regardless.

I'm contracted in to Sky Sports until January - with Ringside effectively disappearing and every card becoming a PPV I will almost definitely be cancelling it when I can.

Not happy.

No. The only way we can make an impact is to boycott this rubbish. Just hope the brainwashed casuals do the same.

Of these 134 people who voted no, how many will cave and buy this anyway.

I reckon about 130.

Joke of a PPV. I'm glad I didn't cave for previous shoddy PPVs and won't be for this one.

If more and more people stand firm as opposed to caving in, something will give.

Though if I didn't pay for Sky Sports, I could understand buying it as buying these PPVs is cheaper than the Sports package I think.

Yeah, Toby spelt it out - there's savings to be made ditching the sports package and paying for PPV.

It's 137 voted No now :TU:

But I did leave the poll open for people to change their selections - if people do cave in, it would be interesting if they changed their vote to reflect that so we could get a more accurate picture.

But to be honest, I genuinely can't see many people caving in for this one. It's a poor, poor show to pay nearly 20 quid for.

I'll not cave in - the first time you don't buy is the hardest and I know it won't make a bit of difference but I will not pay again for a crappy PPV. I wonder what Parson Cross feels about this or TJ? Boxing is a dangerous sport but you can't expect big money for fighting soft opposition.

See, the thing is, Chaves isn't a terrible opponent. I don't think he's a plus-size welter like Brook or Thurman, but he's a decent measuring stick. But paying PPV for a top ten measuring stick fight?

FFS. It's like I said when Bellew-Cleverly II was on PPV: if we have to pay extra to see those two, how much are they going to charge to see the pair who beat the ever-living fvck out of them?

It may be a mistake, but an article on Sky website today says the McDonnell vs Parodi fight is live on Sky Sports.

http://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12 ... emy-parodi

Hope so, this would be an abysmal PPV as things stand.

How well have all the rubbish PPV's gone for Hearn in the past year or so? Alright, yeah? That means that the boxers are doing OK from them (which is what we all want: fighters to be paid properly for being punched in the head. Historically they haven't) and, if you're not happy, then just find a free stream which is unbelievably easy for the likes of us boxing nerds. All the big fights recently I have been at work (as I have to work weekends to earn money) using my iphone and have had to follow Boxrec round by rounds and in the case of Mayweather-Berto I am a.) never going to watch it anyway or b.) in the case of Joshua or Brook, can just check out the whole fight on youtube as they are such massive mismatches they will be uploaded within half an hour.

An actual big fight such as Fury-Klitschko will be shown in the pub. I did fly from Bombay to Bangkok just to see Mayweather-Pacquiao but that was a moment of temporary insanity. For some reason I thought a fight might break out, maybe between an American and a Thai, but nobody really gave a sh*t, even on the Kho Sahn road. And if it's in London hey, I might even go to the live event. But honestly... Nobody who posts on here is going to actually buy this surely? Casuals will. And that's good for the boxers. I don't know why you all moan so much. Honestly. Who cares?

The last ppv i bought with a UK fighter was when Froch ko'd Groves in front of 80,000 people at wembley.

Left the Bellew/Cleverly, Brook/Gavin etc alone but did buy the Mayweather Pacquiao one.

To summarise, i'll pay for a quality bout but not for anything else. This means i'm not buying Brooks ppv

Showtime are showing it, surely there's enough money in the pot for it to be on normal Sky?

Regardless of form coming in, undercard, how highly you rate Chaves, I just feel this is going to be a very good fight, and therefore will allow my mate to pay for it and invite me round!! I'll take four cans for him.

Chaves has not been a walk over for anybody and he wont be here. I don't think Brook has done enough so far (and I rate him highly) to suggest this is a mismatch.

Decision win, but think it'll be a bit of a belter.

I get your points particularly that we will all watch this anyway via streams, pubs or in my case casino.

But it's boxing fans footing the bill for other sports. Manchester United v Liverpool or Barca v Real Madrid aren't PPV and if they were there would be uproar. I personally don't think PPV should exist period but I can understand it for Froch Groves 2, May Pac and Brook Khan if it happens.

If you have a sky sports subscription you are already paying anyway so shouldn't pay more for these fights which should be normal sky anyway. Some posters clearly only have sky just for boxing ( I'm not one of them ).

If this fight and Joshua v Whyte are PPV and idiots actually pay for them both and sky are happy then the quality of fights on normal sky will just get worse. It will be a PPV every 2 months not being far off the WWE model of one a month ( which they are changing anyway).

People were saying all this with Bellew Cleverly last year but there wasn't another Matchroom PPV until the following May now there will be 2 within 8 weeks which should be normal sky.

I hope it all blows up in sky and eddies face.

I was toying with the idea of purchasing the PPV when it also had the Fury Vs Klitschko fight, but now that it isn't on the same bill, I will not be purchasing it. Ricky Burns isn't fighting for the European belt anymore, Chris Eubank Jr will probably fight a nobody, Gavin McDonnell Vs Jeremy Parodi may be an ok fight. I would like to watch the main event as I think it will be a good fight, but Sky have got to realise that this isn't a good enough bill to be PPV now that the heavyweight fight is off. Kell Brook has never quite got the support and following that perhaps his record deserves, and alienating the public even more by putting this sort of fight on PPV is certainly not going to help.
