That would be a brave move as a late notice replacement.

Only seen Ali when he fought that banger Abregu last year, he was the underdog but looked very sharp and just dismantled the Argentinian, sharp skills with a dig. Ex Olympian too.

I've seen some bad injuries received on the terraces at football but a bashed up foot is not one that springs to mind......

Unless however, you mean a villa fan saw him after the game and ran over his foot as he was crossing the road?

Funnily enough that reminds me a story from when Rob McCraken was a young pro.

Rob pulled out of a fight with a twisted ankle. He claimed he injured it whilst doing roadwork although local rumours were that he knackered his leg fighting on the terraces (Rob and his family are big Blues fans)

Not suggesting for a moment that's what happened with Frankie's foot but the post just jogged my memory

Obviously Rob McCraken is a highly respected trainer these days but we all did crazy things in our youth..

Frankie did go to that game. It is the sort of injury you could pick up in a kick off at football. Fighting spills into the road, or you're chasing some lads or getting chased...

Not after sympathy like, im sure there are loads of others in same boat but i bought top price tickets for this fight and was real looking forward to it. The week after all booked up for Dusseldorf and we know what happened to that date.

I did it the day before the blues villa game.. An I really thought it would heal. I even had it injected an I haven't ran in over 2 weeks an I sparred the day after the injection an more or less had to just stand there an fight as it was still sore an the spar before that I had to stop as it was accidently stood on an the pain was bad. I still can't run so basically I still can't fight.

All joking aside not really buying the conspiracy theories I don't doubt the reason for the injury is true and thats fair enough. I just hope (but fear this will be the case as per Matchrooms previous disregard of Birmingham and the Midlands) that we don't end up with a shitty main event/card in two weeks and if/when this fight does happen its on a bigger London/Manchester card to bulk up a pay per view.

If that happens after last time I'll never go to a Matchroom bill again.

My mate got his foot run over from mormons when we were younger,these American's were in the area for some reason and we used to arrange football games with them and they(the mormons) used to get kids from other areas to play too,anyway we were all around their car 1 day speaking and as they drove off i just heard my mate screaming,he was fine though

Quite strange nowadays when you think of these 2 american mormons hanging around with kids but it wasnt like that at all,they were brand new

The Mormons are always in York, usually late teens and dressed in suits. They are always American and are sent here for bible studies.
As for the fight, at least if it's put on The O2 show the fans won't miss out. They can buy their tickets from StubHub or order on Sky PPV.

No Mormons involved in mine. One of the incidents could've been a lot worse though. Mates mum picking us up from Loughborough town and started driving off before I was fully in the car and one of the wheels went over my foot and up my leg a little and she panicked and drove the wrong way at first before reversing. Was on my ankle/leg for a good few seconds. I'm convinced my love of cereal with plenty of milk for brekky saved my bones in that case.
