Wonder whether ITV have a special surprise-surprise moment up their sleeve..... a certain Nigel Gregory Benn lives not so very far away.
They've got to be tempted; big Bromance hug on the eviction bridge = ratings winner.

Last years was won by a laid back quiet one.keirw wrote:Whenever these shows come down to voting people out it's usually the laid back, quite ones who get voted out first as they are seen as 'boring'.
For that reason I can see Chris staying in a while, but he will annoy people, he definitely won't win
Re: The Official English (Chris) Eubank Jungle thread.
Eubank mentioned something about never playing a game of football with one of his sons or something or other, not going to watch or something. I thought that was quite cruel really, all you want when you're a kid is your dad's time and attention.
He said something about the kid was born in 1990 when he was at his peak, so he couldn't spend any time with the kid, but he retired in 1998, so when that kid was 8 surely he could have gone to plenty of games? Plus how many boxers have loads of time with the kids between fights e.g. Froch, Hatton, Crolla etc?
Seems like he's a real old-school hard liner, been brought up on ultra strict values and can't help but impose them on his own kids, which personally I think is the wrong way to go about it. He's definitely an oddball, fascinating but truly odd.

True, but that was more a case of him being slightly less annoying than anyone else, and Sykesy turning into a bit of a bitch half way through.banjo wrote:Last years was won by a laid back quiet one.keirw wrote:Whenever these shows come down to voting people out it's usually the laid back, quite ones who get voted out first as they are seen as 'boring'.

I'd love to kick her in the biff, can't stand that accent.
Re: The Official English (Chris) Eubank Jungle thread.
He mentioned Steve Cruz the other day is that the guy who beat mcguigan?
Re: The Official English (Chris) Eubank Jungle thread.
All kicked-off in the jungle last night with lots of people losing their cool big time.....Eubank to his credit one of the relatively few not to get involved in the name-calling and finger pointing. Gave Kieron Dyer who was behaving like a tearful/hormonal teenager a great talk.
Just as an aside....Chris has a pretty fit daughter called Emily as well.

He never seems to be able to finish a sentence
Re: The Official English (Chris) Eubank Jungle thread.
He is used to holding court and giving out bits of advice taken from Rudyard Kipling poems but in the jungle every time he takes a pregnant pause for dramatic effect some reality TV big gob swoops in with some inane comment.handsofstone wrote:He never seems to be able to finish a sentence
I find him both strange and strangely likeable though.
Like somebody said, one minute he is like some Victorian parent and the next he is capable of really gentle and caring acts like the Kieron Dyer pep talk.

Sounds like Benn Eubank III will be next years first PPV event.
Re: The Official English (Chris) Eubank Jungle thread.
That's him out.
Had a chuckle when he said - in response to being asked about a third fight, and being told Benn had tweeted lets get it on - "yes I'd take the fight, providing of course Nigel accepted what we offered him"
Probably the profit from the hotdog sales and a disabled toilet as a dressing room.
Shame to see two great fighters not able to leave the past where it is.

Re: The Official English (Chris) Eubank Jungle thread.
Yeah it could've been a ploy by Eubank all along,we know how much he loves the limelight,go in the jungle, get some publicity then set up the 3rd Benn fight, strike when the iron is hot and all thatWales wrote:It'd sell though - Christ if Freddy Flintoff can catch imagination of the public im sure Benn Eubank 3 would!
