I believe Chudinov has been promoted to super champion.
Current champs list is -
DeGale (IBF)
Jack (WBC)
Abraham (WBO)
Chudinov (WBA)
I still think he should have considered signing a short term deal with Fr@nk W@rren, fighting Frank Buglioni in London on B0xNati0n then facing Chudinov for his WBA Title...
That seems like the weakest list of champions that division has had for many years.

January is too soon for Murray and Smith is a good seller in Liverpool so can't see him fighting Groves at the Copperbox. Genuinely can't think who it will be? Someone like Steiglitz would be decent. Winnable and Groves needs a win and a good performance desperately.

I can't see Groves fighting anyone remotely interesting. It'll be a knockover job.

Ordinarily I'd agree, however Hearn has tweeted that Groves will be headlining the Sky Sports show, so presumably it will either be someone half decent, or a 'name'?

I'm more interested in who he will be trained by for this fight rather than who he will be fighting...

Shane McGuigan? Thought not sure SMG would be able to commit to CF and DH as much as they'd like if he was to be taking on Groves too.

That would be interesting - I always thought Groves was a little similar in the way he took opponents apart to David Haye, quick, powerful attacks that the opponent more often than not doesn't see coming.

Very similar, very similar feinting and footwork style.

True. Degale & Hearn should concentrate on clearing the division up after Bute. He beats the other 3 champs IMO and even though it's a poorer division now, it would still be a feat to hold all 4 belts.

Personally I think he will go with Abel Sanchez. Spent a lot of time with him in GGG camps and think it will do him good having camps away from England and out the spotlight.

I'd be on board with a shane mcguigan link up for George.
ps does anybody have a way of finding the long interview he did with sky after the badou jack loss?
I find George quite an interesting character...

There was a 20 odd minute one on the Sky website at the time.

don't know where google pulls it from but it'd be a laugh if Rob McCracken was to train George

Awful fight. This is headlining a show?
Swear Hearn has mentioned a few times that he's got so many fighters and a limited amount of dates on Sky, but he's happy enough to waste one on this? Di Luisa has no stand out wins, was stopped by Bute in 4 a few months ago and retired against Rebrasse who has 6 KO's in 30 fights. What's the point?
