i think everyone is missing the point in this one. This fight was a done deal at the end of 2014. Kathy Duva was already securing a location when Adonis hightailed it to Showtime to avoid The Krusher. We all remember the "Adonic is a POS" post fight comment by Kovalev.
I find it funny how KC and the other Floyd Flygirls continually knock Kovalev and GGG and work hard to find ways to discredit them when they are the only two elite boxers in the world trying to make the best fights. They are also the only boxers putting the importance into holding these belts. In a time when we've got people throwing belts in the garbage to avoid mandatory, appropriate defenses. We've got two guys that are actually in line with what the traditional goals of boxing and those goals are to defend their titles against the best possible contenders and ultimately unify the titles to become undisputed champions.
Imagine if Floyd acted like that for one of his fights the last 15 years. Just one? Boxing would be the greatest sport in the word if everyone conducted their careers like GGG and Kovalev.
