It was interesting for us Brits but for the neutrals probably one of the most boring heavyweight title fights they have ever seen.
12 rounds of fencing between two giants with China chins, both unwilling to commit to any type of aggression in case they got countered.

Harsh!! But some truth in this

At the moment the average sports fan doesn't even know who Wilder is. If they do it's a blip on the radar.

Mayweather, Pacquiao, and whoever was fighting Mayweather next are probably the only boxers that over 50% of average sports fans could name over here.

On the flip side they did know who Klitschko was but nobody I spoke to knew he was about to fight. I was talking this fight up at work & just got a lot of blank stares.

BUT, yesterday a few people came up & spoke to me about it.

I think if Tyson had a fight over here he could crossover. They love entertainers in America & him on one of the nightly entertainment shows singing would be a big hit. But he'd also have to be in a fairly short fight otherwise people would switch off (mentally).

Good point. Tyson Fury with his Irish connections and his chat would go down great against Wilder. The press would be huge.

I don't know, but it was an absolutely shameful performance. Nothing anybody involved should be proud of.

Do you not give Fury any credit for doing what he had to do to win? He knew he couldn't trade with Wlad or stand and exchange jabs, so he executed a game plan.

Not only were numerous Ruiz fights individually far worse, but he was consistently bad over a number of years.

I don't think Fury deserves any credit. He didn't win. Wlad lost. There are Amateurs that show more skill than either of them did.

Vladimir stank the place out like he usually does. The only way to beat him was by KO by clean shots which is easier said than done due to his overly defensive style or to rough him up and win ugly, which Tyson did. Crap fight but this was down to Klitscko more than anything, fantastic win for Tyson Fury and British boxing
