That was a very fast stoppage, Chagaev wasn't even on the ground for a second time, I guess the refs really don't like anything that lives in, or close near Russia.

Browne drops Chagaev who is caught square when coming in, he gets up on wobbly legs, and Browne gives it everything for 30 secs and the ref waves it off!

Chagaev seemed surprised and not happy, even Browne didn't seem happy at all, the whole crowd is silence and moving out.

I think everybody realises this wasn't a really fair stoppage.


Nevertheless, Browne did won the latest few rounds, also in my opinion.

How was it not a fair stoppage??? Browne was battering Chagaev with shots.
Good thing the ref stopped it to prevent more damage to Ruslan.

I totally agree! No disrespect meant to Browne at all by saying this, but Chageav blew it by coming in out of shape & thus running out of gas & blowing it by not being able to finish it in Rounds 6 & 7. Congrats Mr. Browne!

Oké, well, I think he could easely have survived it, or else the ref could have waved Browne of earlier in the fight because of his injurys as well.
Take a picture of both fighters their face and ask a random guy who he thinks has won and you know enough.

Chagaev was clearly losing the latest few rounds, but it wasn't like he was completely KO.

Very very gutsy performance from Browne coming back from the brink to get the win. The stoppage was perfectly ok. Chagaev was taking big punches and not throwing back, ref had to stop it imo. Surprisingly entertaining fight.

At the time of the stoppage I had Chagaev ahead 2 points, 5 rounds to 4 plus the KD.

Brown caught him coming in, plain and simple.

Short right hand was the beginning of the end.
