I think had there been another ref in there then Whyte would have got DQ'd - I'm glad we had a conclusive finish in this one and not Joshua vs Whyte 2 - unfinished business.... although part of me still thinks the DQ would have been the right call. There were people calling for the Tyson vs Savarese fight to be reversed after Tyson continued the fight after it being stopped - what Whyte in retaliation wasn't good for the sport, but thankfully we ended up with a good fight so that will largely be forgotten.
I am sure Froch vs Groves 1 was in Foster's thoughts when he decided to act as he did. He didn't want to get the terrible treatment in his most high profile outing since Froch vs Groves 1.
Joshua should have been disqualified if someone had to be disqualified.
How many times is he going to get away with hitting his opponent after the bell?
In the interview afterwards he said it was the ref's job to stop him punching after the bell, not his. The guy is a bloody loon.
This is one thing that I actually agree with you on , it seemed a really odd response from Joshua to the question he was asked .

I think he handled the madness in round one very well some refs would off called it off there and then

As Foster had his back to Whyte at the time, I suspect he was not fully aware of how reckless Whyte was when he threw that haymaker over Foster's head. Probably a good job he didn't have a clear view of the incident as that would probably have been the end of the entertainment.

Worst referee in the game, a blatant cheat, home fighters are given blind eye all time, it's consistent

Couldn't fault Oward (watch your Eads) Foster this time. Usually he is too quick to jump in.

A very good ref who apart from the Mitchell slip was fantastic.
He handled the end of round one very well.
I'm one of the few who agreed with the Groves stoppage so I've never given him a hard time.
I bet Lenny Daws wishes he had foster instead of the awful Danish geezer the week before.

Bitter is the right word, Foster has refereed Ronnie three times, against Hughes, James and Cacace, a draw and two defeats for him.

Nothing to do with ronnie my opinion of him, I find him a blatant cheat, Ronnie fight with maxi he won, his fight with James was tight but didn't do enough and his fight with cacace he had no impact, not bitter I find him blatant and more so than the rest, I have spoke with people who know he's a cheat!! Most you guys are boxing fans and don't actually see the inside of what goes down. Boxing is a bit like wwe.

What exactly would be the point in docking points off both of them?

So you don't feel Whyte deserved a point deduction for nearly punching the ref to get to Joshua about 10 seconds after the bell had clearly gone?
Could not deduct one without the other so why bother? He read them the riot act prior to round 2 starting = spot on refereeing

Even if you think both were equally as guilty for the first round fracas then both should have been docked points. You cannot act like that with just a warning..... you should have warnings, then points docked and then DQ'd - that was close to a DQ as you get if you ask me.
I think Whyte's retaliation was worst than Joshua being fractionally (IMO) late. I thought Joshua deserved a point deduction for his second late infringement though. Let alone the in ring infringement - I always thought that means an instant DQ? I was fully expecting it to be declared a No Contest after the first round..... yes, glad it wasn't - but I thought there was clear rules and outsiders coming into the ring.
So I disagree, I think Whyte's intentional attack deserved at least 1 point deduction.
I disagree, a stern warning at the end of the 1st, and a warning that if anything similar happened it would be a point off is enough.
Entering the ring DURING a round I thought was immediate DQ, not in between rounds.

Hence 'seconds out' at the start of round 1.

Ok ha, I spoke to an actual fighter who told me that before one his fights on a Morrison show the referee was scoring it a draw, I also speak to a referee who has told me of instances with referees, unlike you I don't hide my name etc, and I would say it in person as I know for a fact what does on in boxing. It's as good as organised. If you don't believe that then you are a grade a moron.

I don't care if you believe me ha, I know all that matters, also I do and I won't deny that I dislike them, there useless along with there referees who are corrupt.

I don't think you know anything really mate. If you feel that strongly about it don't renew your license.
I've been around boxing (amateur and professional) for years and I've never seen or heard anything like you claim.
Sometimes decisions don't go your way, but never for reasons of corruption.
Just out of interest, what do you suppose the refs get out of it?

I don't have a license, end of day both a referee and a fighter have said instances to me, believe me, don't believe me, don't really care, what does anyone get in corruption? Go ask most fighters regarding it and you will hear the same. It will happen always, as money talks, do you think it's just coincidence that fighters are robbed away from home consistently? Do you believe referees genuinly see the fight that way? If you do sir your world is very basic, open your eyes, educate yourself on the sport you love. Of course you will get cases where a referees hands are tied or in truth someone who isn't involved with the politics, but they won't go very far . Anyways done explaining, it is what it is

You are a troll and know absolutely nothing Jamie. You can't name anyone as there are no such people. The reason a lot of away fighters do not get the W is because they are journeyman brought in to bring the local prospect along FFS. Tell you what Jon Pegg is on here who promotes and matchmake fights; I guarantee you he will tell you that your claims are a load a C rap.
