There is no comparison between Lewis & Wlad. Lewis will smash him out of ring

In their "supposed" prime's they were both trained by Manny Steward. In their "supposed" primes, I'm guessing both fighters have been knocked out twice already.

Both fighters had suspect chins. Both fighters could punch.Anything could have happened. I'd still favor Lewis but not by much.

This is a man who got knocked out by Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall. He was also behind on all three cards against Vitali and only won on cuts. Cuts is about the most unsatisfactory way for any fight to end.

He was very good don't get wrong but he weren't out of this world.

Mitigating factors v Vitali though ?

Motivation issues, long time out of the ring etc

Only won on cuts??? How about "only won by means of punchinh Vitali's face in to the point of potentially losing an eye"?

A prime LL = best hw ever, imo.

Lewis on his best night could beat anybody.
He'd KO Wlad. Vitali would be/was more difficult but he'd beat him.
A prime Ali might be a problem but Lewis would have a real size advantage......
No one else unless they caught him while he was making a movie.......

Oh god, Lewis knocks his friggin head off. The guy is so afraid to get hit he holds on and smothers smaller fighters. Not even close. Lewis lands huge right hand to that glass jaw by 3rd rd.

Larry Holmes would beat Lennox easily by late KO/TKO, George Foreman would KO him early. Lewis was nowhere near to some unbeateable montser, like some of his fans want to think. He had 2 one-punch KO losses. Ok, he underestimated McCall and Rahman, but watch Mercer fight, watch second Holyfield fight. Two much smaller guys who were past their prime gave prime Lennox a hell in the ring, and you are saying that guys like Foreman and Holmes couldn't beat him? It's beyond ridiculous

I agree Caldo entirely. Did not expect to see many for wlad on here. I don't see wlad seeing 12 rounds in any circumstance.
Many steward would not be putting his house on wlad either despite what he may have said when training wlad.

Far from best, not even close. Top-10 hw for sure, top-5 - probably, but definitely not top-3.

Bit odd to say not even close then create arguement to have him as high as 4th. Are you saying the golf between 1 and 4 all time is gigantic?

I dont disagree that he sits top 5. But its hardly a far cry that one mans 4th greatest all time is another mans 1st.

lennox was a beast with all the tools.

Only like a ridiculous amount of luck could make Lewis win.
He only had that luck once in his carreer, against Klitschko indeed, 90 to 95% of the matches between these two would be won by Klitschko.

Yes

Same goes for Fury
and same goes for Vitali had he fought 1997 Lewis
LOL. Lewis couldn't hurt Vitali with his best punches. He would never knock him out or down. But he would stop him on cuts in his prime too.

Lewis hurt him very much with that uppercut, his face likely saved him from a KO loss.

As for the topic, Wlad always has a punchers chance, that's it. The prime version of Wlad gets wiped out, he'd have a better chance in his youth when he was aggressive.
