Strange offer if true. Why would Khan be interested in a fight at 154 ?

World title on offer, Smith is completely untested at this level.

Khan is actually big enough to move up and is a winnable fight for him but would probably see it as a step down

Surely he'd see it as not worth the risk and way below his perceived level.

Depends how much of a risk he sees Smith, he may see it as the easiest shot out there for him. FW would be keen to get some options too.

Khan would be a three weight champ as well.

Khan spends a fair bit time at Gallaghers Gym so I can't see him fighting Liam Smith.

He owns Gallagher's gym.

Would love the @RealMiguelCotto fight June 18th, looking forward to seeing who he chooses to fight. Let's make it happen @WorldBoxingOrg

looks like Liam Smith will be out on the June 4th card at the Echo Arena - http://www.BS.com/dickens-medi ... ol--102435

Liam Smith vs. TBA
Jazza Dickens vs. Abigail Medina - vacant-EBU SBW Title
Ryan Farrag vs. Karim Guerfi - EBU BW Title

get Derry Mathews, Paul Butler, Zolani Tete, Kevin Satchell and Tom Stalker on there and it'll be a decent Scouse card.
Get a good name-value main and co-main and don't over stack it and it'll be a good show...

Smith's career seems to be pretty uninspiring to be honest. Saying that though- I could see a scenario where it's a very shitty year for Gallagher. Quigg has lost, good chance Crolla could lose, if Smith got Cotto theres a decent chance he'd lose that, Smith vs Pedraza is no walkover. Callum Smith and miserable fat bastard Paul "I love a 6 rounder" Smith might be the only two standing.

Could be Butler/Conlan that fights seems very likely now that Conlan signed with FW, if that was the case if Smith's opponent is anything half decent that could be a great show.

Sadly its also the date Hearn is muting for Bellew at Goodison, that would be really annoying being on the same day and make no sense at all....for eiher promoter or the fans.

The two bits in bold completely contradict each other.

I'm trying to work out who the hell they're going to get for the proposed Goodison event. I mean Lebedev is fighting a unification with Ramirez which will tie up the WBA and IBF strap if he wins. Glowacki is fighting Cunningham for the WBO and Dzozd is fighting Makuba (?) when he recovers from his hand injury. There doesnt seem to be a ton of options for Bellew in regards to a world title. I hope to god it's not Bellew vs Cleverly 3.

last week W@rren put on an 11-fight card, this would be an 8-fight card...

I've thought the same to be honest theres nobody I can think of that I would consider worthy of making them v Bellew a Stadium fight.

Suppose he could do similar to Campbel/Coyle use half the stadium etc

Edit** just seen Bellew is fighting Makabu for the WBC title (Drozd placed as Champion in recess)

Also a date widely mooted for the Fury fight. Sky obviously have it earmarked for PPV. Surely not Boomer?

does starring in some Rocky spin off film make you a Stadium filling PPV star ?

Maybe they want to do what they did in the first Fury-Wlad fight and use some of PPV money to pay Matchroom's fight, Bellew cant sell out Goodison so they need a guarantee of a few extra quid to pay for that card, would explain why the Fury fight hasn't been announced yet (or Wlad is juicing and doesn't want to get tested yet).
