Just a correction, there was a bit of misconception that Dave is free to view on all platforms.... not on Sky it is not. My parents have Sky but pay no fees (so just have the free view channels) - Dave was on subscription.

Not if you don't have Freeview but use Sky with no subscription. I know cos I was out my folks last weekend.

I like the fact that Dave, Channel 5 and ITV are having a bit of a punt on boxing again.....because Sky and allegedly have been pushing the sport down a narrow alley that has 'niche, specialist sport' written all over it. Just a pity that the BBC has not recovered from its Audley Harrison fiasco.

david haye needs to bring back his hayemaker stable. get 20 fighters signed to him, get him gym in northern cyprus back up and running (has he sold it yet) and get promoting his own shows again. good times.

Don't agree with you there mate. There's more live boxing on TV, from more broadcasters, than ever before. SKY, B0xnati0n, BT Sport, Eurosport, Channel 5, Spike, ITV, Dave and London Live have shown more than 115 live shows between them over the past 12 months.

According to Barb the official viewing figure was 1.35m.

Great figures, on top of Haye selling out the 02 against such a woeful opponent. Haye is one serious draw and probably the biggest in the UK right now. It is probably now at the stage that Haye / Joshua has to be a Wembley fight.

To quote Tom Craze on Twitter, Joshua/Haye would make Froch/Groves II look like a sluggish ticket seller. It would sell out Wembley with ease.

Silly statement really. It couldn't sell any quicker than that fight even if they just gave all the tickets to StubHub right away... Oh, they did?

Was the peak the two minutes he actually spent fighting?

Think said was over two million for 15 minutes around the fight but the peak probably was just the fight lol

Hopefully his next fight will be on Dave also.

Unfortunately I think that's a completely absurd idea. Haye's deal with Dave has served its purpose. Got his face on TV and his name in the papers. That fight was only worthy of someone elses undercard. So they sold the fight themselves, provided an ultimately weak card, so they didn't have to shell out money to fighters and pass it off as a night of boxing in a packed arena. Does anyone know how much the tickets were to attend that evening?

Haye is due back in the O2 in May 21 and supposedly going to fight a 'top level HW'. I think Haye is already on the road to cashing in and will sell the next fight to the highest bidder, thus pricing free to air channels right out. It wouldn't even surprise me if they went PPV as long as they can get a few world title or domestic title fights in the undercard.

“It held 1.3m viewers throughout the two-hour show, 2.4m tuned in for the 15 minutes around the fight and we peaked with 3m viewers for the two-minute fight itself
