He knows too much about boxing to say this, unless he was being encouraged to talk it up because Mike has to know that Fury is nowhere near the best heavyweight since him.
Yea, especially since Klitschko is affected with personal issues.Freedom2013 wrote:asdfjkl wrote:Did you know that David Haye made a comeback already?![]()
Fury-Klitschko II is an interesting matchup. I think Fury will likely win, especially with home advantage in Manchester and Klitschko being age 40. But I'm not sure.
I see Fury winning even easier .. Wlad has slipped he's old and it is showing. Fury by wide decision or late ref stoppage.diddy wrote:Fury is +250 to win by Decision again. Someone please talk me out of dropping a missile on this? What is really going to change this time around? Fury is going to employ the same tactics, stay out of range on the outside and tie up on the inside. Fight is in the UK, I just dont see Wlad outboxing him by nearly enough to actually get a decision there. What am I missing?
Wlad's brain has been reprogrammed via previous knockouts to be risk averse in the ring. He wont put himself in harm's way because when he has in the past he's gotten flattened. Against Fury he sees a man who is bigger than he is who can keep him on the outside and use movement to keep him there. In order to actually overcome Fury's size Wlad has to enter the danger zone, thus exposing his chin. I'm just not certain at his advanced age and wealth and social status that this is something his brain will allow him to do - which is take chances.gilgamesh wrote:Wlad wins if he fights. If he shows up and let's Fury have it again, then Fury will win again by being slightly more active than a Wlad who is trying to win a staring contest.
If Wlad throws 10 or 15 more punches a round than he threw the first time he wins...probably by knockout.
Cue Horse coming in to tell how great Fury is, and how masterful his performance was the first time around. Sorry Horse. I have eyes, and they work.
He could still be very cautious while only throwing 10 to 15 more punches a round. I figure that's all he'd need to do to win. Whether or not he will though is another question.diddy wrote:Wlad's brain has been reprogrammed via previous knockouts to be risk averse in the ring. I said 10 to 15 MORE punches. As in 10 to 15 more than he threw the first time. If he does that he will at least have given a half assed effort which is a full half more than he gave the first time. Last time I guess he hoped Fury was gonna trip on the way to the ring and break his neck or something because he didn't try a damn thing to win the fight in the ring.SFW wrote:Wrong.. 10-15 punches a round got his face battered last time. By a guy who was barely doing more.. Vlad has an even harder task this time around, everybody knows he is going to be timid and overly cautious avoiding exchanges and clinching often. That has been his style for awhile now. It will never work against Fury. Vlad has to blitz him and get an early rounds stoppage or he is toast again.
can't teach an old Wlad new punchesgilgamesh wrote:Wlad wins if he fights. If he shows up and let's Fury have it again, then Fury will win again by being slightly more active than a Wlad who is trying to win a staring contest.

haha the world's first 'Inverse PPV', I like that. it could take off. You can imagine your buddies in the pub moaning about their shitty career in Wlad-fight-watching though.caldo2025 wrote:I'm getting sleepy just thinking about this fight. This fight should be the opposite of PPV.
What we had for the last 8 years is a dominant champion who fought everyone. Sure it was boring at times but at least thecaldo2025 wrote:I'm getting sleepy just thinking about this fight. This fight should be the opposite of PPV and networks should pay anyone that takes the time out of their day to watch it. With that said, I'm sure that Wlad got back on the juice and took a couple cycles of some kind of PED so maybe he won't be a timid little bitch again and maybe try to get off at least some point in the fight.
The most important thing is for Boxing to just get this fight over with and be done with it. To have these 2 Jamokes fighting for our sports Lineal Heavyweight Championship is an absolute embarrassment to everyone who's ever been associated with it. Get it done and over with so guys like Joshua, Ortiz and Wilder can pick it up in a year or so and bring the sport back to some kind of normalcy and hopefully bring some excitement. Anything is better than what we've had for the last 8 years.
He doesn't need new punches he just needs to move his hands and actually throw the punches he knowsRiddick Blowe wrote:can't teach an old Wlad new punchesgilgamesh wrote:Wlad wins if he fights. It was Klitschko not fighting and Fury barely fighting. Barely fighting beat Not fighting the first time around.Lenny Cravats wrote:I didn't appreciate the last one. The fight bored me to tears and I found it hard to tell if it was Klitscko being woeful or Fury fighting extremely effectively that lent most to the result.
When the first fight was announced, I thought it'd be another dull, late rounds stoppage. This time round I've no idea. The only certainty is that I'll wait and read the result rather than watching it.
