I would put him in with Cornish on a Joshua/Haye undercard in April. He should win that.
Then put him in with either Joshua or Haye. He will lose that.
Then go in with Whyte or Chisora or H.Fury. They would be a 50/50 fights.

Price could squeeze all these in by the end of 2016, then cash out.
Seems like a decent retirement plan to me...

Thats well over the top.price would also KO De Mori in a round, and is a talented if chinny fighter with a big punch.
He is tall and had the power to ko most heavy weights.

Having said that, I would still expect a Haye KO win at some point

In terms of talent, Price is better than De Mori, but he is so lacking in confidence that I would not make him favourite in that fight as Mori looks ike he can punch. What concerned me about Price against Tepper, was not just the ease in which he got knocked down and out, but also the fact that he backed off and seemed to get tired quickly because he is nervous about being hit. He seemes totally drained of confidence. I'd love for him to do well, as he comes over as a great guy, but I think he will get knocked out again, and against Haye could get very badly hurt indeed. De Mori spent the night in hospital and doesn't remember the fight, only sitting in the ambulance afterwards

Fun if you like one round blowouts, Price can't take a punch but he can whack as hard as anyone out there and won bronze at the Olympics. Cornish may well have a dodgy chin too, but he carries no notable power, especially by heavyweight standards and has had to be brought along very slowly because of his lack of amateur experience. They took the payday against Joshua and really shouldn't have, the last thing he needs now is to get thrown in with Price and get sparked out again.

David Price is a good domestic / British title level boxer (nowt wrong with that - I wish I was) - however as soon as he steps above that level he gets sparked.

You know it, I know it, and most importantly Price himself knows it.

He should stay retired and enjoy the fact that he is an Olympic medallist and former British champion.

Being a named confidence builder fight for the likes of Price, Whyte etc is the best he can hope for in my opinion. Nothing wrong with that.
Take the paydays against the highest names possible whilst you can...

He's not a name though, he doesn't really have much more value than the Latvians he's spent most of his career fighting if he wants to be a journeyman and the money probably won't be great either, especially when it comes at the cost of having his brains scrambled in every fight, money isn't much use if he ends up like Danny Williams.

There's still decent fights out there for him, Tom Little, Tom Dallas, Dorian Darch, etc, the sort of fights he should have been looking at before they took the money to fight Joshua. He's clearly too good for the journeymen now, there aren't many domestically and he's been stopping the Eastern Europeans for a while now. Fight some of the lesser fighters domestically and see where it takes him, there's not that much competition out there at Heavyweight and at some point titles are going to be vacated and opportunities will come up if he can get a couple of wins at a reasonable level.

price is too vulnerable and would not want this in my opinion. i don't know where Price goes from his current position, one of the more puzzling careers out there to manage i reckon.

Price deserves looking after. He's a nice fella who's done a lot for the sport in the Uk.
No way I see the Sauerlands throwing him in the deep end.
Maybe Chisora-Price for a Euro down the line? Delboy isn't a one punch KO artist.

This would be a total waste of time fight. It's never going to happen, why are we talking about it?

Who on earth is David Price?

Just think that Haye is the man Price needs to avoid like the bubonic plague....even a bulked-up David coming off a long 'celebrity' holiday.
Haye's way too fast when it comes to quick hands and movement, hits feckin' hard right from the first bell and would jump Price for fun.

Maybe the Sauerland's are plain ruthless or have now seen enough of Price and just want to cash-in....so we might get it this season?

But my best guess is that the Sauerland's are not the second coming of Don King and that Shane McGuigan wants Haye to get some rounds in against someone who is going to be still standing after four or more stanzas...even if that 'someone' is not throwing a great deal back.

It is Arreola or Whyte for Haye I reckon and more German undercard appearances for David Price.
