Totally disagree with the opinion that Gervais v Bovey was a better display of boxing. Fogle put out a nice jab here and there which Owen walked onto several times.
Several times might be stretching it a little. He only landed it a few times, and that was when Owen was totally out on his feet. Bovey managed to do much the same thing to Gervais towards the end of their bout. Both poor, but as i said Bovey vs Gervais just edged it.
The punches in Gervais v Bovey were just big swingers. At least Owen and Fogle tried to throw proper punches.
And it was at least 3 times that Owen's face landed on Fogle's jab - I have video footage
I'm sure that Bovey actually managed to land with a few pitter-patter jabs late on, maybe time and a higher than normal alcohol consumption has clouded my memory. I'm not sure which is worse, us arguing over which sham was better, or you recording the fight. Put it down to a recording blunder, like the time i recorded a Ground Force marathon instead of the football.
