They should set up a tourney
Ward vs. Kovalev
Beterbiev vs. Stevenson
And in the end you know the two Eastern Euro's would end up meeting in the finals.

So many great athletes in Europe. If only America could somehow clone that gene pool and end up with as many amazing athletes!

Stevenson will probably fight Bute or Pascal next.

Too bad they are taking the heart out of American boxing though. Division by division. One by one. All Americans can do is pretend to fight each other and let the media cover for them. The only real champion America has is Crawford. 147 is America's best division and none of them can beat Brook. they just avoid him.

Yeah of course that is what you want because you want cannibalism to occur between the European fighters so the North American's can continue to run and be cowards.

My favourite fighter is Triple G. I like fighters from all over. You apparently only like white fighters so go get stuffed.

Pascal/Kovalev II is the type of fight HBO has been making for years.
For whatever reason lately though, HBO is the network with quality fights.
It's the "other guys" are forcing you to watch fights you don't want to see.
Can't wait for Crawford/Lundy.
Can't wait for Manny/Bradley III ... for $65
Funny how the network doesn't even seem sure Ward will fight Kovalev.
Thurman/Porter for free

LMAO!!!!
And BTW, as one-sided as some saw it, Ghost-Swift was an action fight...
and reportedly did real well ratings-wise.
Guess they might make it past February after all.

Garcia/Ghost had decent ratings, certainly not what Al had in mind when he started this thing. None of them have put up Cunningham/Adamek numbers yet.
Kovalev is the man, I love it that he was still pissed after the fight. Carry on bad ass, ward is a 50/50 fight.

It was a superb performance from Kovalev. Patient, hurtful and technically very sound. Pascal barely landed a shot but he is one tough bugger to say the least.
He's getting better fight by fight Kovalev.

Kovalev has a WBO mandatory Dominic Boesel and an IBF mandatory Sullivan Barrera.
Barerra-Ward is
still not official, there seems to be something blocking it.
I'd like to see Shabranskyy fight Chilemba, and the winner perhaps take on Kovalev.

I agree. I wonder if the "Canadian Coward" Adonis Stevenson was there tonight?? You notice he is not even talked about anymore because he is such a coward.
On the allegedly coverage, Adonis got in the ring to confront Kovalev, it got quite rowdy with Kovalev giving Stevenson the middle finger.

You edited this comment bigtime BTW. You added the last part many hours later. Your first remark to me was only the Hitler comment.

I like plenty of black fighters but I am going to keep pointing out American fighters and North American fighters who continue to be frauds. Avoiding the tough fighters from other countries at all costs.

Yes I posted that before A Stevenson jumped into the ring. Stevenson will be the forgotten man at 175 because he did not strike when the demand was hot for him. He elected to take easier fights and did not make the money when he could. He is running out of time and running out of fights. Ward is not even discussing him at all. I think he has blown it. I would like to see him fight Beterbiev but I doubt that can happen.

The referee blew the call on 2 or 3 knockdowns last night. Green is usually a good ref but that was pathetic.

Ward needs to work on angles at which he could land his head butts which is the only way he can beat Kovalev. He can't impress Sergey with his punches and he can't possibly last 12 rounds against the Krusher.
Great post.

If there's enough money in it the bouts will get made and Kovalev is becoming a really impressive fighter. I used to think he was a raw banger but he thinks things through and is a good boxer. His jab is one of the best in boxing and his jab to the body is a very hard punch. He is in with a really good chance whoever he boxes.

The fights will only get made when both guys want to fight. Ward and Stevenson do not want to lose so they talk a good game but do not step up to fight. This is like a disease. I call it North America syndrome. Wilder is about to dump his title rather than fight Potvetkin. This has been going on for years and years. I think the only American fighters that will take a fight anytime, anyplace, anywhere Crawford and Porter. The rest of them are all talk.
