The point is that Groves is not the same fighter that he was before the Froch bouts... It all depends on is state of mind.

Groves has the mental disadvantage of losing 3 world title fights and Degale won his title the first time he tried, that has to play a factor as the fight went on, plus you look at their recent fights Degale has looked comfortable against world champions where as Groves looks to start strong but then lose a lot of momentum towards the end.

This fight won't happen this year, Groves is in a new camp, new trainer and should want to re-establish himself in the division first and Degale will want to get a couple of good defences of his title in before anything else.

just because he want's a fight with him though doesn't mean he'll get a fight, if it's been confirmed as an eliminator then whoever wins will fight Badou jack for the WBC title next.

Groves has had his shot and he lost now I stand by the idea of he has to earn another shot not just win one fight against a European ranked opponent and then get beaten again by a world champion and damage his record even further just because he's impatient.
