Somehow the best boxers will allways be heavyweights, because dwarfs can't beat monsters one on one.
Your 73kg figure is accurate, but keep in mind that the average 73kg man would probably be a welterweight in fighting shape. This is relected by the fact that there are (slightly) more professional boxers under the 147lb welterweight limit than over it. Looking at the number of active boxers per division:
Lightweight: 1,932
Welterweight: 1,928
Super Lightweight: 1,644
Super Welterweight: 1,633
Middleweight: 1,407
Featherweight: 1,372
Super Featherweight: 1,288
Heavyweight: 1,257 (you could argue the number should be higher, due to big men being lost to other sports, but on the other hand, there are plenty of obese guys fighting at heavyweight who if healthy, would be at a lower weight)
Light Heavyweight: 1,194
Super Bantamweight: 1,167
Cruiserweight: 1,107 (you'd think it would be higher, given the 25lb span, but in reality, guys who naturally weigh under 190lb fight at light heavy)
Super Middleweight: 961
Bantamweight: 873
Flyweight: 716
Super Flyweight: 652
Light Flyweight: 531
Minimumweight: 258

There are some very talented, exciting boxers coming up, such as David Benavidez, Dmitry Bivol, Alexander Gvozdyk, Artur Beterbiev, Radivoje Kalajdzic, and Vyacheslav Shabranskyy. There are some very good contenders such as Andrzej Fonfara and Adonis Stevenson.
And of course there's the champion Sergey Kovalev.
exactly, light heavyweight is the #1 division in boxing right now. nothing tops....
kovalev
ward
adonis
bertbebiev
egor
fonfara
gvozdyk
there is no other division in boxing where you could put 2 guys at the #1 spot right now. in light h. it is the rare case, it would not be crazy to put either kovalev or ward at the #1 spot. than the amount of undefeated talented boxers with excellent amateur background.
than even so there is kovalev & ward, yet still their are guys who are so strong that it would be not ludicrous to bet against kovalev and ward, considering how good adonis and bertebiev are.
It would be REALLY crazy to put Ward who haven't fought anybody at 175 in #1 spot. Ward from 2011 would have good potential to be #1 LHW at THAT TIME, but current Ward against Kovalev or Beterbiev ???
he is technicly so high...wouldnt be crazy to me

Amazing how many of you find heavyweight interesting. Wilder and Joshua are the only ones I make sure to watch.

In my opinion it is welterweight.
M. Pacquiao
T. Bradley
K. Thurman
S. Porter
K. Brook
E. Spence
S. Ali
D. Garcia
S. Vasquez
L. Peterson
C Algieri
A. Khan (although he is a middle weight now lol)
R. Guerrero
J. Vargas
Maidana if he comes back

pac is out
feather fisted bradley and spence are good, but they arent on the level of kovalev & ward
thurman, brook and porter are good too, but adonis, bertebiev, olympic gold egor are better
what is than left at welterweight? an old guerrero, a 200 pounds maidana, a c level boxer like algieri?
where is LH has olympic bronze gvoszdyk, fonfara, pascal, brähmer, hard hitting rodriquez
lh is easily the best division in boxing right now. no other division has so much talent, from technicle elite boxer, to elite punchers and so many undefeated quality upn comers.

Povetkin and Fury are very good heavyweights, why don't you like them?

I disagree.
Rigo is as technically sound as anyone at any weight. Quigg and Frampton are as good as any two and three. Donaire is as solid as any #4 in boxing.

With what?
Ring's top ten. I don't always agree with their rankings, but they at least highlight some of the best fighters in the division.
1. Kell Brook
2. Manny Pacquiao (almost retired)
3. Amir Khan
4. Timothy Bradley
5. Keith Thurman
6. Shawn Porter
7. Danny Garcia
8. Sadam Ali
9. Errol Spence Jr.
10. Dimitry MIkhaylenko
That doesn't really scream a stacked division. You have Bradley and Pacquiao then the rest. Pacquiao is currently on the out, though.
The best divisions for me, and in order, are the following:
1. Flyweight (features several very good boxers and 2 p4p'ers in Estrada and Gonzalez)
2. Light heavyweight (stacked division featuring a current p4p'er, Kovalev, and a former or current p4p'er, Ward)
3. Cruiserweight (stacked division with an assortment of talented, multi-styled boxers)

I don't mind fury, it was nice to watch him clown wlad but that fight was incredibly dull. Povetkin is boring. Still a lame division, though it is more interesting without the overrated wlad at the helm. Wilder and Joshua are wildly entertaining, I know your issue with them. Good ole racist Tunney. Lol

I don't rate Adonis any higher than Frampton or Quigg. Especially given the fact that he has not found a way to get in with Krusher. Notice that Quigg v Frampton is actually happening and the winner may well get in with Rigo before the end of the year.
Ward has been special. He has done nothing credible at LHW, yet.
Donaire sure is fighting a lot for being shot. Rigo outclassed him and Walters was too big for him. I think that Donaire is (at least) = to Fonfara. Stevenson is not on Rigo's level.

dont even start about rating cause kovalev, ward, adonis rate higher than frampton, quigg or rigo in a p4p sense
if we only talking about boxing quality, than lh top 4 are easily better than sb top 4. aside from rigo, there is nobody impressiv. frampton, quigg never beat any a level boxer. ward, adonis and kovalev did.
1. kovalav equal rigondeaux
2. ward, better than frampton
3. adonis, better than quigg
4. bertebiev, equal to donaire
okay, now you have head to head the 4 best lh and the 4 best sb. if you still think sb is as good as lh, than so be it

We all know your
real issue with Povetkin, Klitschko, Fury, Kovalev, etc.
I actually like Joshua, I've said many time he's the best up-and-coming heavyweight. I can't remember you ever making a positive or fair comment about a white boxer, you always discredit, ridicule and bash them.
Povetkin is far from boring with a run of exciting KOs, yet you praise runners like Mayweather and boring feather-fisted spoilers like Ward. You keep on accuse me of being racist, but it's obvious to everyone who the
real racist is.

You've always been a racist. I've never been accused of being a ward fan and only a Floyd fan by irrational haters. Kovalev & golovkin are my favorite fighters and I'm quite white.
