I can't work this thread out - I can't belive that this thread is real but I also can't believe why somebody would make it up.

Either way the OP is not right in the head.

In Nz and islands, islanders are raised this way. The threat of beatings and the act of it is normal and like the op says this is the way we are raised. Its hard for people who are not raised like this to see it as outragous and foreign.

To the op one of my sons is now 9 he was the harder to deal with one out of my boys and i prob treated him close to how u describe. He is well loved and he knows it.

The kids all have different ways i have 7 and some need different ways of disciplen. For some a stern voice is enough for the harder ones more is required.

foxdog is a mental case.. Hitting a 2 year old??? That's the most cowardly thing I could think of.

I once came across a guy hitting his kid in a parking lot.. I grabbed his arm and told him to stop.. He told me to mind my own business or he would kick my ass.. I said that would be fine with me, since I could defend myself and his son couldn't.. He told me to get out of there and I told him I wasn't ready to do that, but if there were anything troubling him he could get counseling and I would pay for it.. He started crying and told me his wife was cheating him and his brother robbed him and other personal problems.. We all have issues to deal with and sometimes other people drive us to take violent actions. We shook hands and I gave him my business card. I never heard from him ... I often wondered how he was doing.

Only just seen this. You may be trolling. If you're slapping a two year old around he should be taken away from you wherever you live and IMO the administrators of this website have a moral responsibility to pass your ip address and any other data to the relevant authorities.

No one here should confide in this forum from here on in lol.

Also I am Donald Trump and I plan to blow up the world.

You SAY what you want on a forum. You can be who you want. You can have a name like Sklar instead of your REAL name.

EVERYBODY disguises on a forum. To jump when they tell you to jump, is for one to control you.

My beatings were at times extreme in that they would leave me bruised, injured or with nanoconcussions, sometimes all of them. The length of some beatings would seem to last 5 minutes which to an MMA fighter is nothing but for a boy that was not to retaliate, a hell on earth experience.

Do not misunderstand parents. Brutal as they were, they were the most loving parents I can assure you. Samoans beating there kids is normal and is encouraged to the point where its tradition.

Anyway, I now find myself beating my son. Without even realising how wicked my actions are, I slap him fairly hard on his legs. Ive slapped his face once and that too was hard. My son has just turned 2 on January.

Instantly after each episode, I reflect and I am full of guilt. Remorse kicks in and I feel rotten. There is no real silver lining but I wonder, is this toughening him up as they say?

Through my life I have noticed that I am quite durable. I have never broken a bone. Plenty of sprains and strains etc but never had a major injury. Fallen of a tree, been in a car crash, played League for 14 years, boxed etc..I have put my body on the line many times and the worst injury Ive had was a 1 month grade 1 ankle sprain. I credit this to my beatings as a youngster.

My question is, would beatings be the best conditioning to toughen up my son whom I plan to box later in life?
I beat the shit out of my son growing up........never did me any harm

I was reading through the first 3 paragraphs thinking go ahead leather him.....give him a bloody good hiding...it never did me or you any harm...and hey every1 knows about samoans...David tuas story of being forced to box by his sweetshop owning dad who got grown men to spar a 15 year old david for sweets........than I read 2 years old...... You should not be hitting a child. I thought your son was like a teenage 14 year old boxer u were looking to discipline for wrong doing or toughen up for the sport......not this
