I just don't see how Fury's victory over WKlit could lower anyone's opinion of Tyson. He did what was necessary to defeat the king of the hill, no matter how old and toothless the old lion has become.

I also do not understand how a 40+ year old champion for a decade should be diminished due to a loss to a young behemoth with decent skills.
Because HE DIDN'T FIGHT. That's how. If he would've done his best, and got knocked out I'd respect that. He basically came in there, stood there for 12 rounds, and handed Tyson Fury the Championship. The fact that you guys act like Tyson Fury did something impressive baffles me.
Fury is the World's HW Champion. He deserves respect, as does WKlit.

Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko clearly.

He did do something very impressive.

It might not have entertained a lot of people, but he beat a very good fighter and made him look a bit rubbish.

They both looked like trash. Fury was trash with better leg movement that's about it.

I do respect both fighters. I just don't respect their efforts in that particular bout. I respect most Pro boxers. It's not an easy way to make a living.

Fury won clearly. He may well have been able to win in many different ways, but he stuck to the plan that was clearly working.

Wladimir was losing clearly and didn't/couldn't change. He was the main reason that the fight was not very entertaining.

Fury was impressive and didn't look like trash at all. His reputation improved massively.

Fury's game plan worked perfectly, somewhat exposing Wlad's inability to adjust to his tactics. I always thought if Wlad fought a guy with great lateral movement, he would have a tough fight. Fury didn't have that, but his feints confused Wlad all night. Wlad couldn't pull the trigger, a common thing we have all seen by fading champions that stay in the game too long.

All that being said, the amount of punches landed by both guys was absolutely pathetic, the worst in history of any championship fight. My point is lets not get too excited about the great Tyson Fury just yet. The fight over-all was not pretty.

Fury dominated Wladimir Klitschko, and that lowered your opinion of him? How high was your opinion of him prior to the fight? You must have thought he was like a top 3 all-time heavyweight.

My opinion of him was low before that, but I assumed he would've come in and made an exciting fight with Wladimir which he didn't. I'm tired of explaining my view of this to people. Fury will impress when he beats somebody in impressive fashion alright.

Wlad never fights, fury was just too big for his molesting manlove style.

Your opinion of him was low? Man, you must've thought such a lowly fighter was like a 50-to-1 underdog against Wladimir Klitschko, who is a top 10 all-time heavyweight, #1 fighter in his division for 10 straight years, unifier of 4 belts, future first ballot hall of famer, who utterly dominated virtually every opponent for 10 straight years. Then he dominates Wlad, and moves even further down in your opinion. I mean, your "low" opinion of Fury must have placed him at like #20 in the division, and now that he's even further down, you must have him at like #30 in the division, even though he just schooled one of the best heavyweights of all-time who was consistently dominating #2 challengers over and over and over for so many years. You really have a way with evaluating fighters. If it were me, I would've actually raised my estimation of Fury after he dominated one of the best heavyweights of all-time, and the only reason I wouldn't have done that is if he won by some absurd fluke or if I already thought Fury was a massive favorite going into the fight.

Look...this is why my opinion of him lowered.

It was not a fight. Tyson Fury won because he sucked less than a Wladimir who was standing still doing absolutely nothing for 12 rounds. My opinion of Wlad lowered too. I've never seen a Champion come in the ring, and just hand over his title without a fight like that. It was the most pathetic effort I've ever seen from a Champion, and becoming THE CHAMPION...which I don't dispute Tyson Fury accomplished. Isn't nearly as impressive when you do it like that against a fighter who didn't even try.

Anybody I thought could've beaten Fury before the Wlad fight I still think would beat him. I didn't see a better Fury in that fight. I saw a lesser Wladimir.

It's strange and sad how so many posters become trolls when it comes to Tyson Fury.

They got proved wrong about how good he is, but can't let their negativity go.

I'm a troll? Since when?

I freely admit Fury did far better than I expected, however, as a performance, whilst it was an achievement, it was far from impressive to watch.

Wlad was criticised many times for being negative and cautious, Fury did precisely the same.

Let's see how the rematch pans out, I suspect Fury will be more aggressive in the rematch.

Wlad was negative against opposition far below his level, time and time again, often including absurd amounts of clinching.

Fury was fairly negative, against a fighter that was a big favourite to beat him, one time. It's not the same thing.

Trolling would indicate making countless posts just to incite anger in other posters, I fail to see how I'm doing that?

Talking trash about a fighter is likely to wind up fans of that fighter.

Finding any excuse to put a fighter down does seem like trolling type behaviour.

Tyson Fury has recently become the undisputed heavyweight champion. People still saying that he is unproven or not very good are either trolling or just really stupid.
