Think Rose might stop him. Although he's nothing special he's less shopworn than Macklin.

Would rather see Macklin retired already, a defeat here should see to that.

Good chance for Rose to get a good name on his slate. Macklin way past it now - too many wars finally caught up with him.

Probably be a bit like Mackilns last fight, with Macklin struggling for a points win, then trying to convince himself he has still got it in an IFLTV interview.

They are both easy to hit, I reckon it will be a war - I would favour Rose, but Macklin is going to have a lot of success getting his own shots off too.

Macklin was good but is shot and Rose is barely Euro level anyway so both are on the same level. Good 50-50 fight. I think Macklin takes it though. He can still bang and Rose lacks punch resistance. Reckon Mack will stop him in the 9th or 10th round. Think it will be a fun fight.

Isn't this fight an eliminator? Surely there's better and more deserving fighters for a world title eliminator than Rose and Macklin.

I think Macklin will stop him pretty early. He may be past prime but Rose is not very good.

Remarkable that this is a wbc eliminator.

I'm not sure it actually is, Hearn's claiming that but he said the same about Warrington-Tubieron and Campbell-Coyle, no mention of it from the WBC with both fights, just that it was for their international title. Even the WBC wouldn't sanction an eliminator between an unranked fighter and another fighter that's ranked 11 at the weight below. Probably just Hearn lying.

Bad choice of words for him and his pals at the moment

imho..both are spoilt goods. it will be close, macklin digs better and rose has the worse chin. therefore, much as he is spent, i fancy macklin in this one.

I can still remember that Macklin hook that wrecked Asikainen for the European, that was some punch!
