As a "world champion", we are entitled to expect him to fight much better than Duhaupas and Molina
More to the point, I don't care if he fought Audley Harrison and Jason Gavern on the way up, I just didn't expect him to work his way into a ranking position that would earn him a world title shot by doing so
Povetkin on the other hand, not only fought better on the way up, but was if anything, critisised for taking to long to take a shot at the title.
My thoughts exactly - it shows how pathetic modern boxing has become, that a current world title holder is in fact still 'learning his trade'
Worthless belts. Fury is the king of the hill. Wilder, Povetkin and everyone else are just contenders.
I hope this eliminator comes off.

We could split hairs all day
Povetkin has a far better resume, has far better names on his CV.
Wilder is a world champion I expect him to fight a certain level of competition. He's nowhere near that level and anyone who argues he is, is an idiot.

Are we all still idiots if the Povetkin fight comes off? He is THAT close to legitimacy.

TBH I even think he has the odds nowadays, but I still can't say I see him as the best heavyweight out there, not even top 3 even.
