Without doubt he SHOULD fight Rigo as he should be seeking the establish himself as the best in the division. He won't be allowed to go near him though.

In my view The Jackals realistically has 2 options.

Either he fights Shingo Wake (as I think he will) and avoid being stripped of his IBF Title, in what would be a glorious homecoming at The Oddyssey.

Or he takes the ultimate challenge against Rigondeaux - which really would be a contest to decide who the conclusive Number One is in the division.

If Frampton both these fights by the end of the year, he truly will have cemented his place as an All-Time Great Super Bantamweight.

Number one in the division is well known as it is. Frampton should aim to take the spot from the man.

Frampton didn't look good despite deserving the win today, but I still wouldn't be shocked if he beat Rigo and it would greatly boost his reputation, as least among the sizable group of fans who seem to think that Rigo is some type of boxing god.

Rigo is old. That's the only reason Frampton might beat him. There's the counter argument for any win over Rigo, and if it happens it will be trotted out regularly.

I don't think they fight Rigo anyway. Too much risk for not enough reward.

If he stayed at SBW, I'd say fulfil the mandatory requirements, first fight Wake, then fight Rigondeaux, IF you still have belts after that, look for Donaire for a pay day then maybe a Quigg rematch.
If he is still unbeaten after that run, look to other titles and any domestic rivals who have emerged in that time.

But I don't think he'll stay at the weight so Santa Cruiz it is.
He's been in talks with him before when he was at SBM, so I think it's one that'd interest them at FW

I hope he fights Rigo, with Rigo's shaky jaw Frampton does stand a chance.

Still it's a fight I won't be watching. Rigo's fights are like being water boarded.

Frampton should face Rigo.

It's a fight I'd hate to watch though, if there's one guy who bores me rigid it's Rigondeaux.

Let's be honest, Camp Eddie is making the call as we speak.

If he doesn't fight rigor then he has no interest in proving how good he is me will have lost respect from anynone that cares about the actual sport of boxing and not just maximal money generating.

Just watched the Post Fight Press Conference and both Barry & Frampton have stated that they see Leo Santa Cruz as the "obvious" opponent which means that he''ll be moving up to Featherweight.

In which case, I would be expecting Eddie Hearn to quickly manoeuvre Quigg in to fighting Shingo Wake for the vacant IBF Title.

I want Carl to fight Rigo next but out Shingo Wake as it is more realistic.

Santa Cruz is grossly over rated I have said this for years an call me crazy but I would still fancy Quigg to beat him even at featherweight. I still think Frampton makes him look silly his matchmaking has been pathetic Mares was a ( way way way overdue) great fight then he fights Frampton and Quiggs leftovers with a weight advantage......... Protected won't fight Frampton.

LSC seems like a strange choice to me.

He's technically-horrible, and doubtless Frampton could look good for a bit, but LSC is nothing if not strong and relentless, and I'm not sure a cyborg type like that, a weight above in his first outing there, is ideal for Frampton.

I would be less surprised if it was someone shite at 122, or maybe even a 'massive ppv' with Selby at 126.

I think we've seen the best of Frampton at SuperBantam and now is the right time to move up. He's flattered to deceive in his last two bouts and he has to move up to get the most out of his undoubted talent. The featherweight division has bigger and better names than SuperBantam and Quigg could easily move up with him so the rematch is there. LSC is a good name and a nice payday so I'd like to see him take that fight next.

Agree

LSC's size and persistent physicality would be too much IMO. He's a punching machine (he threw 142 in the opening round on Saturday and generally stays busy late) and would never pull a Quigg.
