I'm with Expe on this one, if it was weed or if he had been caught out by an over the counter pharmaceutical that contained an obscure ingredient then you could make a case for leniency.
But not with anabolic steroids, he can claim to have been spiked all he wants, but what's to stop other fighters doing the same thing if he gets let off?

Totally agree mate. I wasn't 100% sure if it was a PED. You're putting your opponents health at serious risk in a sport that is dangerous enough. It's reprehensible and should carry a lifetime ban.

Galahad has quite a disciplined style so I don't think that will be a problem. You're right though he may not be the same. He's decent enough but I don't see him as being on the same level of Frampton or Quigg. I've heard stories that he boxed the bejesus out of Quigg in sparring though so perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe he was juiced out his dial when he sparred Quigg? If he was taking PEDs then he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a boxing ring again.

Mate I barely read that because at a glance it had 'rant' written all over it. I have no agenda or loyalty to anyone (no matter how many times they have posted). From what I have read on here you seem to be defending the guy? If he has taken PEDs then he is bang to rights and he has dodged a bullet coming back so soon IMO. If you have any other info then please enlighten me. I am nothing if not impartial.

Believe it or not, my opinion on this case isn't based on a post I read on a forum earlier today.

I am aware of the fact that Galahad claimed to have been spiked and that his brother has claimed responsibility,it may well be true.
But it may well be that his brother, who from what I can gather is already serving time inside for an unrelated offence, has volunteered to take the rap in order to give Galahad a chance of saving his career that would otherwise be in tatters.
Do you think the latter is beyond the realm of possibility?

i have thought for a while that at his best, KG's style would be a nightmare for Quigg, and present at least some problems for Frampton.

The only reason Frampton 'wouldn't go near' Galahad is that the fight wouldn't make commercial sense for him. Not because he is scared. There is levels in boxing and KG is a few below Frampton. Carl is just coming off a win in a big box office event and KG is just coming back from a doping ban! Different ends of the spectrum mate...

He is a good boxer. I respect your opinion on here as you seem a knowledgable guy but there is no way Galahad has the boxing skills of Frampton. I don't think he carries pure power either so any fight between the two would come down to ability and I think that Frampton has spades more ability than KG.

From the outside looking in it does not look good for KG. It looks as if he got caught then got his brother to try take the rap for it. He's in prison anyway so people will think he's already a bad guy who would do something like this, I presume that was the though process behind his excuse. Did he ever come out and say what exactly what they fell out about as to why his brother alledgley spiked his drink? His ban was a disgrace, he got less than Dillion whyte who got a very harsh ban for taking an OTC supplement. Worse still this reflects very badly on ingle who has a great reputation. I certainly won't be supporting KG after this.

Agree mate. The guy cheated then had the brass neck to try and palm that bullshit excuse off! He should be treated with contempt. I wouldn't look too harshly upon the Ingles because they obviously have a close relationship with the boy. They are giving him a second chance so fair play to them. Personally speaking, I would come down hard on any drug cheat in our sport. It's a dangerous game.

well, all i said was 'present at least some problems....', doesn't say that much about Galahad does it? other than i think stylewise he'd make for quite a difficult fight for Farmpton, which i'll try explain why:

reason being, from what I have seen at his best Frampton is a kindof front foot counterpuncher, he doesn't like to back off toooo much, but on the kindof half-front foot he likes to trigger his opponent into leading and falling short, which because of his shortish height and tiny arms, against a normal sized 122lber, he can sometimes struggle a bbit when made to lead; and often when made to lead against a guy who won't lead much, Frampton will fall short himself like he did against that Gonzalez kiddy. i think KG has a nice style- and his arms quite a lot longer- to try and make Frampton lead and either peck him with a jab coming in, or if he can adjust his feet quickly, to make him fall short and counter.

i don't say any more than this would 'present at least some problems', like i say.

slowfooted Quigg on the other hand i think would spend at least 6 or 7 rounds following KG round the rign with an expresssion of pure confusion on his face.
