is GGG among the most ducked boxer in history?
Re: is GGG among the most ducked boxer in history?
No.
Not even close.
You can't call yourself avoided when even guys the weight class below yours are calling you out.
Plenty of guys want lil g.
But he won't fight them until he cashes his golden ticket.

Agrees with the first part and laughs hard at the second part. Honestly who has GGG even remotely come close to facing with the skills of Floyd? Sure he's thrashed a few bums with decent names but none of them are nowhere near the league of Mayweather, sure he has punching power but power means nothing if you are unable to land it and who makes more fighter miss more than they hit? (rhetorical).ikorolev wrote:No, it is about people with belts ducking him. Sturm, Geale (while being a champion), Martinez, Quillin, Barker, Soliman, Taylor, Jacobs, Cotto, Canelo, Saunders ... Let's not get so epic just yet.
GGG has beaten most of the top guys at 160, they aren't afraid to fight him.
It's really just about Cotto and Canelo not fighting him.
No, Floyd is smarter than that.BAD INTENTIONS wrote: Whatever, Floyd is coming out of retirement to fight GGG.
Problem solved.
I see nothing in GGG that says he will beat Floyd barring a lucky one punch KO because he sure as hell cannot outbox Floyd.

Well if he was as confident of beating Triple G as easily as you are think he would then he would have no hesitation in fighting him but anyone with half a brain knows he doesn't. He fights Triple g....there goes his 0!Undefeated49-0 wrote:Did I say that he did??Baby Face Finster wrote:![]()

That's just a matter of your opinion but it doesn't make it a fact now does it?
Sure I get it, you don't like Floyd therefore to you Floyd is scared of him and that justifies your ridiculous comment but it still doesn't prove you're right.
Question, what fighter has Triple G fought that in any way, shape or form resembles Floyd?? Floyd have seen a bunch of Triple Gs but GGG has never fought anyone near the level of Mayweather.
IMHO Floyd outboxes him easily leaving everyone who's a GGG fan crying about how Floyd was running and holding. UD by Mayweather.

Apology accepted, I know you like many others here do not like me but I never start anything but I'm often attacked just as you did without any provocation whatsoever. I don't take things here personally, we can simply agree to disagree without the disrespect.Baby Face Finster wrote:Sorry my apologies. Size matters, and I just don't know what could be proved by having a guy give up 20 lbs on fight night/
Yeah, I know he fought Canelo, but let's be honest in saying Floyd caught him at a good time and that it would probably not be a good idea
for them to fight now, with Saul being a bit more experienced.
But now, with lil g's reluctance to go down to 155 for what is surely a huge payday, I am pretty sure lil g at 154 is very beatable by Floyd.
His power would compromised by the drain and the truth is lil g is a very good boxer, but not a great one.
There are flaws, and he isn't particularly hard to hit.
Against a guy like Floyd, that could be the whole ballgame.

That was in comparison to Floyd, that is his only advantage other than size. You think he has better boxing skills than Floyd, is he faster, is his defense better, his timing??ikorolev wrote:Undefeated49-0 wrote:Seriously ? You're stupid to ASSume that I meant he only has power.

Golovkin's style is not flashy and of course he relies on his power when facing weaker fighters, but it doesn't mean that his skills wouldn't allow him to hunt Floyd down and finish him.

And exactly the point you don't get on the opposite end either is that it doesn't mean he will be able to either!!ikorolev wrote:We will never know how he compares to Floyd, because Floyd preferred to retire.Undefeated49-0 wrote:That was in comparison to Floyd, that is his only advantage other than size. We've seen fighters pressure Floyd but what happens when they trap him? He will tie them up or potshot his way out of the trap or he will use his legs to evade them but somehow you guys continually act as if there is someone who will just be able to walk through him as though his legs will all of sudden stop working, his brain will shutdown and his defense will totally fail him leaving him a sitting and defenseless target.
I've seen the GGG types cut off the ring and come at Floyd with power, they all got shutdown hard and when they did land, his beard was good enough to withstand whatever they threw.
I get it, you don't like Floyd and you love GGG but then try to be objective enough to realize that Floyd has shutdown every opponent who's done what you're suggesting that Triple G will supposedly do. Golovkin would be no exception.
Re: is GGG among the most ducked boxer in history?
Floyd haven't faced anybody with combination of power and skill of Golovkin. DLH comes the closest, and it was an SD. Floyd was still in his 20th then ...

LOL, I doubt if GGG was on the level of DLH at the time Floyd faced him and regardless of what the official score showed anyone in their right mind knows that it was clearly a UD for Mayweather.
