Pro, Amateur, Neither
Re: Pro, Amateur, Neither
I remember shortly after I went pro my manager started sniffing round one of my former amateur club mates , I was really hoping he would stay in the ams as he was a real slugger type with flat feet and a leaky defence and every bout went life and death but he was a real nice lad and I could see some tough nights for him in the pros, in the end he didn't go pro and just packed it in instead which I thought was the right decision.

Considered it. A few times to be honest. Just not had the overwhelming "must go" feeling.littlepug wrote:You never fancied going to a boxing gym ? just curious that's all cos I think most fans harbour a secret desire to have a go for real but think that they wouldn't be able to do it or something, when in fact you can see some really unlikely types walking into gyms all over and having a go.BigSexy wrote:Never punched anything but the punch bag in my spare room. I've seen some places near that look of interest, but at the minute I'm happy going 8-10 rounds a couple of times a week to get some of the flab off.
Perhaps after a bit longer I might try it. I've only had this for about 6 months and still enjoy it. When the time comes that I want to learn something more or need equipment I can't house, I'll be straight to one.
As it is now though, just something to work up a sweat when I can't be arsed to go for a run haha.
