This is Brooks main obstacle. The people inside boxing recognise his skills and know he is extremely dangerous. The public don't. Therefore it is high risk/low reward.

I think the 'Premier League' fighters won't touch him. He is shopping in the 'championship' for fights. What's Devon Alexander doing?

Alexander unanimously lost to Aaron Martinez in his last fight and would be yet another soft opponent for Brook...by the time of the fight it would be around 2 years since Alexander won.

Don't forget Kell was initially scheduled for his first world title fight against Devon in January 2013 ! Just shows how much his career has been wasted.

I want the Garcia fight but Kell has to travel for it and it's clear as day that Hearn is still reluctant to let that happen but he knows he has little choice even Vargas would cost loads to get to the UK and I can't see it getting the PPV hype that even Fast Eddie can usually do.

I'm sceptical about whether Garcia will take the fight due to his dad and Uncle Al.

My doubt mainly are down to the rubbish Angel talks in this video.

As long as the IBF don't dig up another pile of manure to put in front of Kell Brook, I'm not fussed; any one of those guys listed.

I'm just sick of Brook being served up poop to fight.

He's a quality operator & I want to see him in with the best.

If pushed, I'd say Garcia.

Brook is fearless & confident in his abilities & I'd love to see how he'd handle the build-up with Angel Garcia in his face.

Absolutely any name on that list would interest me.
It really shows the depth this division still has and demostrates how ridiculous it is for a welterweight titlist to be continually fighting garbage.

There really are no excuses for Hearn now and he must deliver a big fight next for Brook, he hasn't the mandatory excuse to hide behind and his name would be mud if they tried the "we're chasing the khan fight" line again

I can still see a Berto, Alexander, Malignaggi, Mosely, Guerrero or even JMM (if they are absolutely convinced he's spent) being served up. Using a known name to try and pass it off as interesting

I really think Brook has a become a "Who gives a fcuk?" situation.

I just watched his post fight chat with IFL TV and thought that I could not care less about him or his career now. Then saw one with Khan saying Brook needs to grow a pair and have to say, that not normally a Khan supporter, I had to agree and was laughing my ass off.

I hope Brook and his team see the need for a top level opponent and insist on fighting them from now on, Kell is local to me and a very good fighter but like some others feel, his reign is a bit of a disappointment up to now. For all the flak Khan gets he does get in with people that will punch him back.

Brook has let the world title own him rather than the other way around. But I'd buy a ticket to see him fight rios

His whole career has been a disappointment frankly, he fought god knows how many 'eliminators' (both under FW and Matchroom) and now having finally won a title we have the most underwhelming string of challengers in history. The blokes prime years are being wasted and I fear he will never fulfill his potential at this rate.

There are some excellent fighters at welter who fight in an exciting fashion, Brook has size and power and wouldn't be out of his depth, if he were to lose it'd be an exciting scrap. I agree, he seemed to be babied a lot before the Porter bout and I imagine he gets better sparring than the fighters he's defending against. We might never see just how good he is.

Pacquaio and Bradley are off the table for the moment.

I think that he could hold his own against Garcia and Thurman, but I am doubtful that either fight could happen.

My pick is Jesse Vargas, in a fight in the US. Plus Vargas I'd the new WBO Champ, and it's a fight that I would heavily favour Kell to win.

I'd love to see a new Super Sox tournament constituted for the Welterweight division, it has so many good, talented fighters.

Yeah I can't remember what it was he was taking. Was he not stripped of one of his titles and kept the other? I remember Matthysse making quick work of him.

Yeah the WBA did the right thing (for a change) and stripped him. The IBF didn't and he didn't fight for 15 months in that time he kept the title with no mandatory which is disgusting considering how quick they were to take the title off McDonnel and Fury.

In fairness Peterson wouldn't be too bad for Brook even though it would be realistic to get him here it would be better in America on a big show to further build his name. Danny Garcia needs the fight just as much IMO what are his alternatives right now ? Makes sense but I'm still doubtful

I do feel a little sorry for Kelly Brook.

The IBF mandatory situation is a joke. How is Bizier, a man not even ranked by the other bodies, is mandatory for that title? You have to admit that it looks bad on Kell. The guy looked like a ghost, did not want to be in that ring. Then was blasted out in 4 minutes. Could have been quicker.

Boxing is definitely the strangest sport, where success does not make you the best. It's the only this sport where the cream does not rise to the top. As an avid sportsman, my philosophy is perform well, train hard, and the big moments will come, but this is just not the case with boxing. You really have to ask yourself, what has Kell Brook done wrong in his career? Not a lot.

From what Hearn was saying, they wouldn't rule out going to the States. To be honest, there's not much to be gained if they stayed in the UK for his next fight (unless they can convince one of the aforementioned to fight in the UK). If they did, they'd be unlikely to make it to PPV because it's unlikely Sky would put another on. They've already had Quigg/Frampton, Joshua/Martin, Klitchko/Fury II, and probably a Joshua summer fight. Plus a US fight would raise his profile which is much needed.

The other thing is, if Brook is 35-0 and IBF World champion. Why aren't the top guys calling him out? It's a bit said that the guy holding the belt has to call people out. Is it purely because they won't make as much money in a fight with him?

I think the Garcia fight would be great for Kell, but for him to gone over here he would want many millions, he's getting paid silly money on PBC I believe.

Kell needs two things - momentum and a big scalp, at least on Porter's scale.
He just strolled through an easy win after almost a year out - he needs to stay active. This means either a late summer stadium or early Sept in the US type fight.
Berto, Ortiz, Gurrero, Chaves, are all fine in a sense but not now, Kell's at his peak and needs a breakout win.
Golovkin is a pipe dream, what's fighting a slightly unknown (at top level abroad) Welter do for him? Kell won't go to 160 and Golovkin has heavily criticised Cotto and Canelo for fighting at catch weight in title defences.
Thurman, Khan and Bradley won't be ready till late Sept and prob later if they have hard fights next up.
It's got to be Vargas or Garcia. He needs a unification now before another shite mandatory rolls around and in my opinion he beats, and possibly beats up, these guys. Call them out, go over there is need be, unify and then you'll have the carrot to tempt a Khan or a Bradley in an absolute mega fight. Kell could easily be the best in this division. He needs to be given every chance to find out
