The Kell Brook welterweight who won't even fight Amir Khan!? I'm missing something here, yeah?
And Liam Smith a light middle, very strange list.
at a catchweight, I'm just suggesting possible options for GGG to face, hes running out of them...

8) Felix Sturm
9) Arthur Abraham
10) Fedor Chudinov
Liam Smith and Cotto are Jr MW and they wouldn't last 2 rounds. Felix Sturm has refused to fight GGG since 2010. Canelo won't fight til at least '18. Highly doubt Eubank fights until '17. Jacobs is fighting Lee in July. That leaves Billy Joe Saunders, he just called GGG out on twitter so lets see what happens. I doubt he agrees to fight but who knows.

GGG, like Mayweather really has no one to fight.

Hopkins just said (again) that he would fight GGG. Somebody needs to tell the old guy to retire instead of taking beating from Golovkin.

Agreed, I might not have minded as much before the Kovalev fight, but I really don't want to see this now.

Completely disagree. Totally opposite circumstances. 3G can't get his peers to fight. FMJ has chosen to retire rather than fight anyone in the long queue at the door.

If the WBA were a respectable organization, they would enforce GGG vs. Jacobs.
I'd like to see GGG fight Jacobs, Canelo, Eubank Jr, or Saunders.

We're talking about a guy here who could potential be one of the greatest middleweights ever, and he is in his 30's... this guy has no time to waste on more fodder like Saunders
Really, it's time to talk legacy, Golovkin needs to get Canelo in the ring for September, give him the lion share, then knock him out and move up and fight the best at SMW.

I don't see anyone on that above list as a threat to GGG. Who did Mayweather have left to fight in his division? Canelo? Been there, done that? Ironically, or perhaps not ironically Canelo tops the list now for a GG opponent.

ggg should make a statement here. Canelo, that girl, is the last to fight at mw. GGG should offer him publicly an offer he cant refuse. Knock him on ass in a round or two, and then call it quits or move up !
Its unbelievable that other so called mw champion are allowed this. they should be stripped and banned.

Does anyone have an idea of how a loss would affect BJS's payday for a Eubank rematch? Without knowing too much about the situation, it seems to me like BJS should take a GGG fight if offered similar money again; if he loses then he loses to the best in the world and I suspect he could still earn well for a Eubank rematch, but if he's defeated by Eubank first, which I think there's about a good chance of, there goes a big GGG payday.

Looks like the WBA may enforce GGG's Danny Jacobs mandatory

It will likely result in Jacobs dropping his belt or getting "injured".

I could be wrong, but the only possible threat I see there is Spence and that's probably because I'm overreacting to the Algeri fight.

Again, none of the top of the MWs are willing to fight 3G, while all of the top Welters, super welters and light welters would fight FMJ.
Not even close to equivalent circumstances.

I'm not arguing the point that fighters aren't willing to fight GGG. My point was only that GGG doesn't have much competition regardless.

But there is plenty of competition for FMJ.

I admit I follow the HW division more, but weren't fighters like Maidana, Canelo Alvarez, Corrales, and Cotto supposed to be competition for him? If he fought Spence or Thurman and beat them easily they'd just say they were another Andre Berto. I don't like Mayweather, but he does deserve some due, IMO.
