yes, 1 serving 1 ex, on the semi pro section.
That may have been it then. A few plots against servicemen have been discovered and unfortunately also carried out.
Also fits more with the terrorist angle
Nothing to do with a convicted murderer on the bill in his home town then you don't think...

Can't see why that would be classed as terrorist threat though unless he's in a paramilitary or IS! it would just be crime like the amateur bill that got cancelled in Portsmouth

They classed the Junior ABA cancelled event as a terrorist problems, it was 2 travelling familys argueing..
Seems strange that this is Gary Mayor first fight as a pro (if you can call it that ) in his home town aswell, where the murder was committed, maybe people have a grudge & want revenge... I may be well of the mark but I have a suspicious mind

What's the Mayor backstory? I'm unaware.

The following link is about as comprehensive as you're likely to find. All happened a very long time ago.

I very doubt the threat is in relation to Gary. For one it is a very long time ago. Further to that if you were to meet gary you'd never suspect is past as he is a warm, softly spoken guy. Whether he was different years ago I don't know. Him being the way he is could be down to the success of the prison system or just maturing as a person.
Here is a is a link to an article.

We all did daft things as kids and it is all so easy to get carried away and push things too far. Not excusing what he did back then but know full well how it can end up happening.

Few of us twat a lad round the head with a baseball bat from behind so hard that he dies. Not to mention his previous convictions for violence.
I only know what I have read but it sounds more than just adolescent high jinks.
