I had the same score

I think Bute won 4 rounds no idea where a draw came from

Bute won the last 3, I think, rather clearly. This means he just needed 3 of the first 9 to pull the draw. I'm not shocked this occurred. I had Jack winning 7 of the first 9. I'm in no way floored 2 judges saw a round different from me and refuse to be swayed by the TV announcers.

Bute is a good draw in the smw division, especially in Canada. It would have been bad for business to give him a L. This draw outcome makes everybody happy. ;-)

And yes Jack clearly won.

Oh who the hell knows what those judges were looking at in both of the SM fights last night. I give up. I think that judges got both fights wrong.

How a guy could sit on the ropes the whole fight taking shot after shot without returning fire and still win the round because he landed three clear punches that looked kind of cool is beyond me. Same old bs...blah blah blah

Awful fight? I disagree.

Bute played it almost perfectly. I thought Jack shaded it but that is all. Lucian won the last 1/4 of the fight convincingly.

Rounds 8 & 9 Jack was already in cruise control mode. He acted like the fight was open scoring and he knew he could coast and just not get ktfo in the last 1/3, like GingerHead v Trout.

Both Jack and DeGale were far too lazy in there last night, but I wouldn't call either fight awful.

Well he would. After Degale's lazy performance and Jack only managing a draw vs B-Level Bute, who else is there?

Groves? He's too chinny. Dirrel? Not that great. Ramirez? Maybe, he's probably the one with the best chance to beat Smith.

Chudinov is on the same level with all of them. Maybe Ramirez is a bit better than everybody. Callum is absolutely untested, so it is hard to say where he is.

I thought Jack won it by 2 or 3 rounds, but he can blame himself. Either he coasted the last 3 rounds or was gassing out. He could have sealed it by being more active at the end. Landing 100+ more punches doesn't always mean you win, even though in this case he should have.

I agree with those who had it 7-5 Jack, but I have no problem with someone having it a bit wider or a draw. Jack did not close the deal, and even before the last 3 rounds he was leaving rounds too close.

I favor DeGale over Jack based on last night, although he would have had nothing to bitch about if his fight ended in a draw.

It could be argued that Ramirez is already number one in the division.
His win over Abraham is better than anything Degale or Jack have done in a while.

It could, but I would like to see him against somebody who moves better than Abraham and throws more punches.

I was at the fight and thought bute won a close fight. Thought there were several rounds that were close that could have gone either way. I said as soon as it was done that it was going to be a draw.
